Judge Allows George Zimmerman to Leave County - WSJ.com
So, a criminal defendant in detention who cannot post bail or is held without bail can now be allowed to leave county to meet their lawyers? How does that work? Or is it just special for Zimmerman?
The former neighborhood watch volunteer charged in the fatal shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin can leave the county where he lives so he can meet with his attorneys, a judge said Friday.
Judge Kenneth Lester said he will adjust George Zimmerman's bond terms so he can have easier access to his lawyers. The terms of Mr. Zimmerman's $1 million bond that were set last month had required him to stay in Seminole County, where the unarmed 17-year-old was shot in February.
