I was oriignally only interested because I didn't like the initial rush to judgement that was occuring. I really didn't have any idea if I felt he was guilty or not, but realized that not enough information was out to make any decision and most of it was just pumped up by the media. My position has solidified since then, now I guess i'm just stuck with following the case.

As soon as the case hit the media, everyone rushed to a judement based on bad information filtered through the media. A lot of that early reporting has since been found to be flat out incorrect.
In order to even get to an arrest, they had to force multiple people to step aside and appoint a special prosecutor who clearly overcharged in order to get an arrest and quell the anger created by those initlal, false reports.

It doesn't interest me. People need to get over it. The stand your ground law is being evaluated for possible changes to improve it. The people got what they wanted and there was an arrest and a trial. Things like this happen every day and the only reason this got any notice were the racial implications and gun rights implications.
