There are a few claims that I have seen repeatedly made in these threads that are completely false. Primarily, the claim that marijuana could have made Trayvon paranoid and led to him physically assaulting Zimmerman.
Absurd. The report says that the autopsy found trace amounts of THC in his system. Marijuana can stay in your system for weeks. If somebody has traces of THC in their system, there is absolutely no way they could have been smoking in the last couple days, and that's on the very conservative side. I am among those who smoked weed in high school, and I once had to take a drug test for a job application and they found trace thc in my system... this was years after I quit smoking, I had traces of THC in my system because I had been around people smoking.
Second, the idea that a person would attack somebody due to marijuana in their system is equally absurd. Have you ever been walking in a public park and seen a bunch of guys singing bob marley songs while playing acoustic guitars and didgeriedoos while they pass a joint around. Would you look at them and scream, "run! They have marijuana cigarettes and their songs about peace are intended to lure us into complacence while they plan their attack!"
Sorry if you're used to different standards than myself, but if you have trace amounts of THC in your system, it proves you are NOT a pothead. A "pothead" smokes weed every day, as Dr. Dre will attest. I realize that confirmation bias will make a lot of people see this development as further proof that Martin was a thug, but frankly, all it tells us is that he's a 17 year old kid who probably smokes pot on an infrequent basis or is around people smoking pot. You may resume your character assassinations now.
A working class hero is something to be

You know, people come out with more and more proof of this or that from either side and my argument still holds and remains the same.
I can tell you from experience that marijuana doesn't turn one to a life of crime. It makes them lazy, hungry, and in many cases creative. No one has ever smoked a half-O of pot to the face one night, woke the next morning and felt they had to steal a car stereo to get another "fix".
As for my initial argument; the parameters of this law were abused, the guy was suggested to heed his instigating and he chose not to. We all know for sure he shot the kid. For all I know the kid was a total dick, and did indeed harm Zimmerman. Zimmerman had it coming. Had the kid lived through the shooting he should be charged as well if he did in fact assault Zimmerman. Let's not make this political, it is very peculiar circumstances that make it interesting to most.
"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Heed his instigating? You got an English translation for that? And any event, I don't know WTF you are talking about. When he is told that he doesn't need to follow trayvon, you can hear he stops runing and says "ok". There is no evidence at all that he continued to pursue trayvon after that comment. We do have evidence Trayvon is the one who came back and intiated the encounter, both the girl friend and GZ have said trayvon was the one who first accosted GZ, not the other way around.

Even if you want to take the majority of Zimmerman and bits and pieces of various eye witnesses into play. The most important part to realize is that obviously, Zimmerman took it upon himself to get out of his car and start following the kid. As I said, the guy had it coming to him and maybe so did Martin but regardless, Zimmerman made quite a few bad decisions that day.
