Court records show George Zimmerman had a pair of black eyes, a nose fracture and two cuts to the back of his head after the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
The medical records were part of evidence released Tuesday that prosecutors have in the second-degree murder case against Zimmerman. .....
Zimmerman was treated Feb. 27 at Altamonte Family Practice.

It would appear his injuries were indeed legit, and extensive enough that the attack that produced them could be considered felony battery.

Yep. I saw this about an hour ago. Doesn't change much for me though. My opinion on the case was formed under the assumption that Zimmerman's injuries were authentic. It does, however, slightly change my opinion of Zimmerman though.

My opinion on the case is that it should be tried on evidence admissible in court, where the accused may confront his accusers, not perceptions based on admittedly biased (on both sides) news outlets. My opinion is also that Zimmerman's conviction or acquittal should be based solely on whether the prosecution proves it's case beyond a reasonable doubt or not.

he had two cuts on his head.

one was 1/4" long.

the other was around 1" long.

This case makes you scared to defend yourself.
