This morning (Thursday), we shared Lassen Volcanic National Park Service's photo from 2006 when they received over 40 feet of snow. Though snowfall may not reach the same mark this year, an expected 90 inches (or more) of new powder this weekend would be a good start to the Miracle March we've been hoping for. A series of heavy snowstorms has already encroached on the park. Rangers were forced to close the visitors center early today (pictured below). - See more at: Lassen & Mt. Not all of California is warm, dry, and sunny. Forty feet of snow in '06 and 90 inches this weekend.

BTW, this is not yet another thread about global warming. A pox on anyone who wants to turn it into one.

I'm not worried - I got my vaccinations. And if the normal temp for a particular location for a particular time of year rises 5 degrees from 20 degrees F to 25 degrees F, it's still gonna snow.

On a side note, it frosted here in Puget Sound, for something like the third time since the beginning of February. I could be off on that...but not by much.
