I would like to mildly amend you comment to say, ". . .his party's tax cut policies during the time of an expensive and on-going wars." Perhaps if they didn't have two wars going on (three if you count the war on drugs), the tax cuts would've worked out better overall and maybe even worked the way they imagined. But to give them then insist on continuing them with "our safety" costing so much. . . yeah, I'd like to hear his answer to this dichotomy (?)

Of course. If you want to spend more money, whether for military buildups, wars, drug prescription programs, then the responsible thing to do is raise taxes and revenues to pay for them. Spend more money and cut revenues and you get huge deficits.

IIRC, US forces informed all non-combatants (via the city government, leaflets, and loudspeakers) in Fallujah to leave the city and provided ample time for evacuation. Most estimates agree that 80+% of Fallujah inhabitants fled the city before hostilities commenced. Those that remained within the city did so of their own volition.

Israelis have repeatedly been told that they will be pushed into the sea sooner or later. A stupid person could say those who stay do so by their own volition.

An intelligent person could say, many of them stay there, because of a lack of money or because they don't know where to go and how to live there or because they hope, nothing will happen to them.
