Regardless of the religion or nation or whatever, how does a military plan or strategy permanently defeat a religious fanatical cause? Japan finally surrendered when their leader/God told them it was time. Radical Islam will never get such a message. Even if the top leader says "quit" another member will rise and call him a traitor to Allah and kill him. To me destroying their money source (oil) is about the only realistic avenue and that will not impact the wolves or whatever the individual terrorist are called from killing thousands.

Yeah, because that worked..

Well we have two choices...allow them to expand and grow without interruption or drastically reduce their ability to expand and grow by killing as many of them as often as possible. Do you know of a third option?

This is the truth, but it is not politically correct - We must eradicate them, and commit to a long term process to accomplish it. Both of which the American people are not prepared to do.

It’s not a fight against a belief in God (Allah) though. Loads of Muslims believe in Allah without supporting ISIS. It’s really just a form of nationalism - they’re even shaping it as a state after all. Nationalism can have a lot in common with religion of course and there is often cross-over as is the case here. Nationalism is also very difficult to counter and it ultimately needs to be done from the inside. We can’t defeat it from the outside (indeed, attacks from outside alone could serve to harden their resolve), we also need to support people who could convince those under its sway to follow a more moderate path (not necessarily one we like but one that is much less extreme and not a threat to us).
