Legalize all drugs

Do you guys ever tried amphetamines? You want that legalized?
Long ago - didn't like either one.

Having them "illegal" sure isn't working, now is it?

I have tried amphetamines, and yes I would want them legalized. I've never tried Meth, but there are many different amphetamines. Every person that takes a drug for their "ADD" is in fact, taking amphetamines, often Dextro-Amphetamine, which is similar to Dexadrine. Dexadrine was used in the 30's and 40's for bronchitis, obesity, attention problems, and depression. House wives would often get hooked on these drugs, which were prescribed by their doctors.

Drugs are nothing new. You will never be able to stop their use. Drugs can be very dangerous, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't have access to them. In order for you to be free, you must allow your neighbor to be free. Even if their freedom is something you wouldn't do.

Treat drugs as medical problems, until they become criminal ones. Most people take drugs in their own homes, and get high with friends or alone. They don't always go on murder rampages.... When they do (just like other mentally ill people) we can handle it as a legal issue.

Amphetamines aren't the worst drug around. And millions of people are on legal versions of the drugs you seem to be afraid of. In a world where meth heads could get their amphetamines from Walgreens, they would have no need to cook up dangerous products in their garage. It is simple really.

Prostitution should be legal too. Prostitution was very common in early american life. You should check out the book "A Renegades Guide to American History". It is a very good book, and had historical examples of how legal prostitution improved the safety of prostitution. It was also one of the only areas where women could work, and make money for themselves. A lot of the west was built by madame's, running brothels. There were many western towns that were run by women, because of prostitution. The women were often cared well for, they were not aloud to be raped or abused.

Like everything else in life, when it is not taboo, it can be done in the open, with safety and caution.

The Krebs & Johansen study (2013) point out to no relationships between psychedelic drugs and long term mental health problems. Their study consisted of 130,000 people that were randomly chosen. From them 22,000 people had used a psychedelic drug at least once.

Instead they found some significant associations between the use of psychedelic drugs and fewer mental health problems.

The psychedelic drugs looked for were: LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, or peyote. The higher rate of mental health problems or receiving mental health treatment in the histories of participants was lacking in order for a connection between to be made.

Over the past 50 years tens of millions of people have used psychedelics and there just is not much evidence of long-term problems

But I do not know! Anyone here tried acid or other psychedelic drugs?

Yes lots of them. No long term problems here despite who knows how many hundreds of doses between the age of 14 and my mid to late-ish 20's. If anything I would actually say that my use of hallucinogenics had a therapeutic effect for me - I would take a introverted solo trip every once in a while to "clean out the cobwebs" - and after these trips I would feel refreshed and revitalized and it is hard to describe, but it was as if I was relieved of any pent up angst and my mind was cleaned and revitalized.

Of course this is purely anecdotal, but it is in response to your question asking about personal experience. I have not used any hallucinogens in probably over 15 years at this point, but as far as I can tell there were no long term (or short term for that matter) problems or ramifications.

As a disclaimer, I am not saying that this will hold true for everyone, hallucinogens are very powerful drugs, and they can open a potential mental can of worms for some - enter at your own risk. Also I most certainly DO NOT endorse using drugs at such a young age - I got lucky and came out unscathed from my hellion days of my youth. Again I am just sharing my anecdotal experience as a response to your question

Thanks for the share of experience :) , but what the heck does this mean:

LOL

Just an analogy. basically I would take a trip, and spend hours laying back with eyes closed exploring every nook and cranny of my mind, and doing a mental "house cleaning". I suppose it may be hard to understand if you have not spent any time tripping, but it was sort of along the lines of meditation and self exploration, rumination and reflection on your innermost thoughts , but while tripping.

Sounds amazing really. Have not made meditation trips down there for a while.

But what if you find just the same old?

What do you trip on?

What do you trip on?

Mostly LSD - especially for solo trips of the sort mentioned in what you quoted - but I was no stranger to psilocybin, and to a lesser degree mescaline either. Did is the operative word here though, it has been quite a long while since my last trip.

I can't imagine going solo on LSD. I solo at least twice a year on psilocybin though. Never had mescaline.

It is certainly not for everyone, and is something I would not suggest ANYONE do without a guide.

I think that legalizing drugs is the only option here. Criminalizing only introduces an underworld of crime and violence. Legalize it and watch the economy grow with a decrease in detention and correctional costs. We have to have faith that the individual will make the right choices, moderation.
All drugs are already legal. All of them.

If you want one you can't buy at the store, make an appointment with your doctor and if you have a condition your drug of choice is meant to treat, then the doctor will get you some.

Perfectly legal.
