Another point - the reporter was on the public sidewalk taking pictures of the Congressmen with the lobbyists - how is that illegal?

I don't know, but that has more to do with a complaint against the police department than anything else.

How are you equating police action to the democrats? It doesn't make a lick of sense.

Look, tension in Denver is probably a bit high due to the convention. I can sense it here in St Paul. On Tuesday, when I come in to work, I have to go through at least two checkpoints and have been told that I will have to produce my work ID as well as a state-issued ID (my driver's license). We've been told that our cars also may be searched too. I have to then stay in our building because of security (so no going out for lunch) and I also have to be out of the building before 2pm. Our business and our lives are being interrupted by the convention and its possible protestors. The actions done by the police forthcoming in St Paul are not the actions of democrats or republicans, they're solely the actions of the SPPD. Same as Denver.

An addendum to my previous post. We were just informed that all of the doors for work are going to be locked at 2pm. So, if we haven't left the building by then, we will be staying here overnight. On top of that, we've been told to make sure we bring necessary supplies such as medication should we have to lock up the building prematurely due to the convention.

Being a long time resident of Denver I can tell for a fact that DPD is famous for their thugary.

Eventually, those officers will end up being metermaids or on desk duty and the department will be paying out the ass for thier obvious violation of the 1st amendment.

The officer who threatened the reporter will likely be out of a job.

DPD has ****ed themselves in the ass yet again.
