The ability of the GOPers to come up with an epiphany once they are caught is beyond me. They always 'realize' they are wrong once they get caught. It never dawns on them that maybe going to hookers isn't logical if you are constantly peddling your morality. It never dawns on them that maybe smoking meth isn't logical if you're constantly peddling your morality. It never dawns on them that soliciting sex isn't logical if you're constantly peddling your morality. It never dawns on them....

.......until they've been caught. It's like the killer who only realized he was wrong after he got caught.

That's hardly exclusive to one party. If you can't see that then I have been mistaken in my judgement of your integrity over the last two years.

WRONG. When repubs get caught in these scandals, they pretty much get ousted while democrats who get caught running prositution rings out of their congressional apartments get standing ovations on the senate floor from their peers.

Yes, after they are caught, they go to pray the gay away camp, and comeback cured and cleansed of the gay demons. Ollie North is a hero to some. Sex scandals aren't a deal breaker for dems (Gary Hart should have stuck it out). Everyone knows he was a fall guy. Somehow that makes him a hero like it's the cosa nostra. Loyalty to party over loyalty to country.

Wasn't it his boyfriend that was actually running the prostitution ring?

No. I was just kidding about who might have advised him to stay, but SOMEONE did. And they had to have taken a cue from the Democrats.

Why should the good Republicans have to slink off into retirement when the Democrats just flaunt their offenses and dare anyone to try to dislodge them from the seats they think are their birthrights?

It is up to all of us to try to live according to our own value system but sometimes we fall short. That is why religion is important. God knows we are all subject to falling short of the example of Jesus. We know that God forgives us our sins and so we get up from them and try to do better after having learned our lessons.

I am a more moral person now than as a younger man as a result of having done some naughty things and realizing the error of my ways.

I said AT THE TIME and still believe that the Clinton-Lewinsky situation was, or should have been seen as, a learning situation for us all.
