Trump is pointing out 'the constitutional lawyer', as Cruz portrays himself to be, isn't all that constitutional. Meaning Cruz isn't concerned with what's in The Constitution (albeit his moniker?) because it clearly states in The Constitution that a candidate for president must be born in America of American parent and Cruz is not. This isn't about the lineage of someone's wife. This is the requirement in The Constitution that presidential candidates be of certain lineage.

This constitutional argument probably passes you by. I just had to clarify it for you. Trump is pointing out Cruz's hypocrisy when he emphasizes Cruz's lineage.

From a strictly non candidate specific position...who really believes posting that picture (or others) of Trumps wife is somehow supposed to be a BAD thing? I mean...I get it and I agree...its ALWAYS bad form to attack the wife and kids of a candidate (I think its a bit different when they themselves enter the fray at which time they are fair game). But isnt this all really much ado about nothing? The ad was a bad idea. It certainly wasnt needed. Trump overreacted (but shockingly...retracted his comment). Cruz looks kinda petty with his response as well. Net losers? All of them. Except Melania. She's kinda hot! I could see her in the WH.

Instead of trying to rationalize your favorite candidates why don't you just admit the current run of Republicans are making the Democrats look like Saints?
I'm not a democrat, just calling it like I see it. :)

This has been going on in some other forums...and the more I think about it the more scummy Cruz looks.

If he wanted to show real character he would have been the one out of the blocks demanding this ad be retracted and that an apology be offered. He would have then offered a personal apology. Had Trump still sent out that comment he should have remained contrite. "I understand your upset. I apologize and will see to it that whoever put that out is dealt with. Nothing but love and respect for your wife." The end. Cruz is trying his damnedest to turn himself into a winner after his campaign went scum.

It does not make any sense. The Cruz ship is very tight, they cant be so dumb as to think that Trump could get mormon votes. So there had to be another reason.

Trying to get under trumps skin? THey still think this can be done? And they dont know that Trump is a sex maniac who loves screwing only the "best" looking women? That he is proud of how great she looks nude cause he has her? I have seen a few pics of her with him, he likes her looking tarted up, on the edge of slutty, this is obvious, this ad is not going to set him off to do something stupid.

Not really, Cruz had to win Utah with 50% plus one or he was done as the anti-Trumpeteer's new golden boy. He's very familiar with dirty tricks and will pull those out at a moment's notice when they serve him. He did this for the money.
