I'm guessing that links for human shields is too much to ask. | Human shields are people like Murtha (I'm a veteran so you can't question my smears against the troops or my treasonous defeatism), Sheehan (my son died, so you can't challenge my hysteria), etc.
And the invented partisan scandals I'm referring to are things like the Gonzales farce. A man who did nothing out of the ordinary in firing political appointees for political reasons, hysterically railroaded out of office by those who've abused this practice more than anyone.
Both of these are ways of silencing people who you cannot contend with intellectually or politically.
