He was a Colonel; he was, in fact, one of the very few air force officers of his rank to die in 'Nam.
An accident; a plane crash in Gia Dinh, very early in the war.

I thought you were smart enough to recognize the difference between trolling and someone who carefully monitors the forum for it's members' level of understanding of the threat to the Free World and tailors a (usually) different message to say the same thing so that everyone will get it.

It's like the difference between a person who walks the streets babbling to himself and sometimes making sense and other times not and in between times just says the same things over and over again...

Versus...

A teacher who cares to achieve universal enlightenment and works at it and works at it and devises new fresh ways of saying the same thing and as he sees person after person quietly getting it he is motivated to continue trying to spread the word.

That's okay. He died almost a decade before I was born. It's not like I miss him, or anything. He was an arsehole anyway, from what I gather.

I have a Purple Heart, Jungle expert badge and many, many more including one that is only bestowed on very few soldiers in the service. Although I hold my medals in my heart, my buddies lifes were worth more to me than ANY medal.

1- Bush had college, I had guts.
2- Bush was to yellow and hid from Nam, I joined to go to Nam.
3- Bush learned how to fly a plane ***'in the U.S.A. only'***. I learned how to kill to save my life and my buddies lives.
4- Bush ***would have been an officer*** But he wasn't.***
I was a Sergeant.

Your appeal to emotion doesn't hide or change the fact that GWB's actions did not make you enlist or make it necessary for you to enlist.

GWB's actions did not get you sent to Vietnam.

GWB's actions did not cause you or your buddies to be hurt or die or save your lives or make you do or not do anything.

If you were suddenly trying to trumpet your service to all of us then, sure, you have done so and you didn't even have to produce a DD-214.

So, again, thank you, if it's deserved.

But your post illustrates perfectly why he's the decider and you are here misguidedly asking him for an apology which you aren't owed.

By the way, on behalf of the President allow me to thank you for your service.
