Col Davis has exposed that the generals are lying to the president the congress and the people able what is really happening in afghanistan

why does the congress refuse to hold hearings to bring in the generals to explain to the public whether what Col Davis is writing is right or wrong

the vietnam war was finally ended when the public became aware that it was a lost cause. my speculation is the congress fears the same result will occur if they ask the generals the questions which now deserve to be asked. if Col Davis' allegations are found to be wrong, then that will buttress our current strategy in afghanistan. but if it is seen that Col. Davis is giving us the truth, then it would be obvious the time to come home was yesterday

sadly the key difference between Vietnam and now is the draft. If middle class kids were getting drafted and blown to bits over there we would have the public outrage we had then. Now most people are not vested in what happens over there. No draft and even a cut cut in the middle of a war, which seems amoral to me.

Another difference is most politicians wish this war would just go away, we are tap dancing away just as fast as we can.

Most Americans are oh so willing to get the hell out.

I'm sure some will wail and decry our leaving, but most will be happy to raise the flag, salute and march out smartly.

Wait.. I thought Congress had a hearing with col Davis... And that's part of the reason why we intend to draw down starting next summer. I read the arrive in question add well. The picture painted wasn't anything new
