Sadly, I think that applies to more than just Palin. It's an overall problem with the political system. No politician wants to give a straight answer, and sadly we've been negligent in our duty to make them answer squarely.

That's true, it could be applied to many a politician which is why they captured it so well in the film.

But watching her last night, I just kept getting that image in my head.
She couldn't answer a straight question and was obviously coached to dance the sidestep in the way that is portrayed in the clip.

Funny that you saw the need to respond

The reality is, Palin answered very few questions directly. If asked a question about Afghanistan she talked about energy.
Ask a question about McCain's economic plan, she talks about Iraq.
Ask a question about foreign policy, she talks about the good people of Alaska.

I think a lot of people saw the debate the way that you characterize it as a "feeble thought". Maybe that's why most every poll show that when it came to debating the specifics, Biden won.

Sometimes the truth hurts. Most likely I am voting for McCain but she is still a nobody and no, I'm not saying this because she is a woman I am saying this because she is just another politican with no experience.

Yes. It's the only way he can keep all that partisan vitriol organized...he uses DP as his own filing system so he has an electronic reference of all his stock talking points this election season.
