Yesterday he said he was fine with the selection, considered her a professional and thought that she could remain neutral.
Today.....another story: McCain took a different tack the day before, telling Fox News in another interview: "I think that Gwen Ifill is a professional, and I think that she will do a totally objective job because she is a highly respected professional. McCain laments selection of Ifill - Yahoo! News
Wow...this man flip flops more than Kerry.

Wow...this man flip flops more than Kerry. | Yes, total flip flop.
It wasn't that he's overly polite and was working on limited information.
Now that it's abundantly clear Ifill is both in the Tank for one outcome of the election but also stands to gain financially from said outcome..
She, and all voters and concerned folk should demand, be removed as moderator.

Nice attempt at rationalizing McCain flip-flop. Its getting clearer and clearer that this new McCain position is advice that the campaign is getting so that when Palin makes a fool out of herself, she can fall back and claim it was because the moderator was biased.
Wow...the McCain camp is really getting desperate in the final weeks. |

“Frankly, I wish they had picked a moderator that isn’t writing a book favorable to Barack Obama — let's face it," McCain said on "Fox & Friends." "But I have to have confidence that Gwen Ifill will handle this as the professional journalist that she is. ...
"Life isn’t fair, as I mentioned earlier in the program."
| With all the relevant criticisms you could deal at McCain, this isn't one of them.
