A letter to the US Government Department of Welfare

I read this guy's letter, and it makes perfect sense to me. If our government can bail out Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, and every other corporation that makes mistakes in their operating lives, then why not bail out everybody else who made similar mistakes. After all, if we are now a Socialist welfare state, shouldn't the socialism be available to all, and not just a select few? Hmmmm? After all, if a CEO can walk away from the Government Welfare Office with over 100 million bucks, as Angelo Mozilo of Countrywide Mortgage did, why can't the rest of us? Damn, I think I will get in the welfare line myself. Nope, I didn't make many mistakes, but now that nobody is accountable for their actions any more, I think I will blow all my money on the horses, and collect come easy cash myself at the Federal welfare office.

Free money, courtesy of our new Communist friend, the US Government.

Are we a socialist country or a communist country? Make up your mind.

Seems both. Redistribution of our tax dollars to those who screw up in life, and also ownership of the means of production (in this case, economic production) by the government.

The Fed and Treasury seem to be making the best of a bad situation. Are you suggesting that we should never bail out any companies?

Are you opposed to the existence of the FDIC?

The total "welfare" being given to these corporations pales in comparison to the amount of "welfare" given to individuals in this country. And unlike those individuals, these corporations create hundreds of thousands of jobs (which then boost tax revenue).

These companys are holding BILLIONS of $$$$$$ for millions of Americans retirement funds and such so they have to be bailed out.
