But I thought it was very UNUSUAL the names that Palin chose for her 3 children. Anyone else think that?
guess its nothing compared to a name like Barrack. |

They are the kind of names you usually associate with families living in cookie cutter homes with sectionals, mission style furnishings, off white walls, and where the only thing hanging on any of the walls are family pictures and the occasional tacky ass Thomas Kinkaid picture.

Current Mood: | Re: Palin's choice for kids names - odd or not? The names bespeak a certain lifestyle: rural blue-collar social climber.
These are names that the working class give their children in hopes that their children will someday climb up a notch, and that if they do, well at least they'll have the right name.
Except that they aren't right; they're poor folks' idea of what the elite might name their children. They are rural/ small town poor folks' uninformed and ignorant stab at urbanity and sophistication.
Leastwise, that's what they sound like to me.

Piper
Willow
Bristol
Track
Trig
That's no Tom, Josh, Heather or Amy......they are definitely unusual names.
I'm on the fence about the location. Palin's in the public eye now so talking about her kids' unusual names is something people are going to do........ but maybe it could have been posted in the off topic threads

I actually don't recall what names she gave them, but I bet they're real classy.
