GWB: Worst President Ever

Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.

This poll from Rasmussen pretty much sums it up. Close to half of the country believe that GWB is the worst President ever.

The only surprise here is that the other 59% believe there is someone even worse.

That's extremely pessimistic. I like to think of Bush as the worst president so far.

Honestly, no. There are much worse presidents in our history. Andrew Jackson and his Trail of Tears™, Buchanan sticking his fingers in his ears and singing "lalala I can't hear you", or Harding's Tea Pot Dome™ are a couple examples why Bush is up in those leagues, but doesn't get the first prize trophy.

People who say that aren't often students of history, they forget those who signed the Federal Reserve Act or came up with the New Deal. They almost always forget the worst President of ALL TIME, Barbara Bush's ancestor Franklin Pierce.

That shameful bloodline had to meet with Prescott Bush's nazi gold bloodline in order to create this sad state of affairs.

I'd say Buchanon was much worse, for one.

Most surveys show that JFK was the best President. Shows you how much most know.

I am surprised that FDR isn't up there on that list of crappy presidents. After all, trying to pack the Supreme Court, and sending American citizens to concentration camps, just because they were of Japanese ancestry, ought to count for something.

I wonder what percentage of Americans think the current president is the worst ever at any given time. For your average president I would guess 5-15%

Fair criticisms of FDR, on the other hand he came to power during a depression of unimaginable severity adn legnth and took action to stop the back failures, get people working again and pull the nation out, instituted the SS program which has saved countless millions of seniors from abject poverty, passed laws that gave workings the right to OT and banned child labor, and led the nation thru WWII to emerge as the dominant super power where most the rest of the world was either bombed to smithereens.

I certainly would not put him on the list of the worst with those accomplishments.

Being as that this is still a democratic nation where the leadership is a reflection of the populace that put them to power. It stands then to reason that this was of the worst and apathetic generation of America ever.
