Less than 180 days left of Bush

The champagne is one ice. We are less than 180 days from closing one of the darkest chapters of our history....the end of an error.

Although I believe that Obama will be the next President, even McCain would be a huge improvement.

Its time to get the celebration plans in order

I know, I'm so excited!
I want to do some kind of ceremonial countdown. I'm thinking about making a paper chain when the date gets a little closer, and removing a link each day. That's probably what I'll do for the last hundred days.
And on the last day, I'll have a party!

Am I the only person that still believes GWB is going to find some way to suspend the election? I won't be celebrating till after he is clearly out of office and criminal charges are proceeding against him in some court of law, be it national or international.

No, Billo made some post a long time ago talking about how some bill or executive order was passed that would give GWB the ability to seize total control of all the branches of governemnt in the event of a national emergency. He seemed to think Bush was going to create a national emergency to stay in power. I remember reading the bill, and getting nothing like that from it, but hey, thats Billo. So no, you are not alone.

I miss Billo. He was, if anything, entertaining.

Don't worry, I recognize that I am being a bit (ok a lot) worrisome, but if you had told me eight years ago that GWB or any president would have been allowed to spy on us, to promote torture, to ignore the agreements we had already entered into (kyoto), and such; I wouldn't have believed you. So now I am just so cynical about where the administration has taken us, that I put nothing past it. I place a great deal of hope in the idea that I am just plain wrong, wrong, wrong. But till proven to be wrong, I will worry a bit.

I don't think we ever entered in Kyoto. If we did, we withdrew, because we are not a signatory at the time.

I understand your worry, even if I am not too concerned myself. But I am ready for a new president as well. We need somebody new to bash. Its just got so tiredsome with Bush.

I was worried about that for a bit, but I no longer believe he could pull it off, not with democrats controlling the house and the senate.

He (the puppet) is an idiot; the puppet masters are evil geniuses. No contradiction at all.
