But that's the difference between us and them.....when Bush leaves office, I won't have another thought about him...like a bad dream....I'll do everything I can to forget about it.

But the radical right is so pissed off about the success of Clinton's presidency and are so obsessed about his penis that they still keep talking about him and talking about him......

None of the GOP operatives I know really cared about that-its more like nailing Al Capone on tax evasion-no one really cared about tax evasion but used it to get the guy

There are people who get stuck in an era and never find any reason to leave. Witness the really old beatniks. The gray haired flower powered hippies. Discomaniacs with lots of gold chains, tight pants and shirts that are open to the waist can still be seen in some venues. And of course we all know some guys who were HS or college jocks who never stop thinkin bout "Glory Days" (from the Springsteen song).

Something tells me you will still be Bush bashing after Iraq becomes a thriving Democratic and economic powerhouse...a Middle East version of Germany or Japan.

You have found your niche, perhaps? Could anything else ever be as emotionally thrilling, exciting or compelling for you as bashing Bush?

A year or two from now will you still be bashing him?

Five years from now?

Ten?

Twenty?

Fifty?

The beatniks and aging hippies probably never thought they'd get stuck in an era, but nothing else came along that seemed as good a thing to get into.

So they just stayed right there.

After GWB leaves office it will be interesting to see how your posts change.

I see your point. I would be shocked if you asked those specific people (those who think Bush is dumb, retarded, etc.) if they thought it would be Bush who came up with the strategy to "take over the country." My guess is that they would stand by their assessment that Bush is a dummy, but that his advisors would find a way to "take over the country."
