US women voters head to Obama after Clinton departure: poll - Yahoo! News

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - De facto Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has rapidly picked up support from women voters in the wake of Hillary Clinton's withdrawal from the campaign, according to a Gallup poll out on Wednesday.

Between the eve of the final primaries on June 3 and Monday, Obama's support among all women in polling matchups with Republican rival John McCain has jumped to give him a 13-point margin in this voter group.

According to Gallup, in its surveys covering June 5-9, Obama was supported by 51 percent of women voters compared to 38 percent for McCain.

A week earlier, Obama topped McCain with just a 48-43 percent spread.

Re: US women voters head to Obama after Clinton departure: poll

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think Obama will probably lose the election in a landslide. I don't think he will carry key States where moderates and Blue Dog Democrats will prefer the more moderate tendencies of McCain. (I can't stand McCain for the record, but he is heads above a spendthrift Leftist like Obama.)

Oh the anguish of the leftists and their Liberal pals when the results are in. I can see the outcry about how Bush stole another election already.

One thing is certain; Liberals are truly a pathetic lot these days. They want to give terrorists Constitutional rights, close down Guantanamo, prove Bin Laden right by running away from their obligations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and will throw as much mud on their opponents as they can just to avoid an honest debate about political philosophy.

If Liberals were truly honest, no one would support them. They know it, and this is why they have been on an 8 year campaign of smears, innuendo, lies and distortions to portray the Republican Party as a party of imbeciles, incompetents, crooks and liars. How ironic that this best defines them on their better days.

To be honest, I don't trust any politician, but if they are Liberal, even less so.

I will predict right now that because of Obama's condescending comment about middle class blue collar workers McCain will carry Ohio and Pa...............Us middle class blue collar workers won't forget his outrageous comments about us when he thought no one was listening.....

Do you have any evidence that the comment is hurting his numbers? Last I heard, Obama has been increasing his numbers in many blue collar states, like OH and PA.
