I went to look up something at the website for the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) and found it was shut down.

PNAC is (was) the most famous neocon think tank. It published papers and letters and advocated neocon ideals. It was advocating war on Iraq and years before 2003.

Several characters in the Bush Administration were PNAC members, including such notobles as Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfawitz, Bolton, Libby and Perle. The group that brought us the Iraq war.

Now when you go to its website, you see this:

Maybe they couldn't pay their bills. Or more likely for that crowd, their current revisitionist history is too far out of whack so they decided the bury the evidence of their prior statements.

Who knows. Hopefully it is a harbinger of things to come.

Thanks don. Though that site doesn't have the articles from the late 90s where they were frothing at the mouth to attack Iraq for regime change way back then.

Was just another but highly pro Israel organisation. All their international polices were basicly against Israel's biggest enemies and basicly no one else. Good riddance... sadly their influence on the present administration was huge and cost thousands of lives.

Not really. It closed down in 2006 amidst an interview of William Kristol where he explained that he believed the think-tank had largely accomplished what it had set out to do (perhaps giving his small think-tank too much credit for influencing the President and the American foreign policy establishment).

I was surprised the website stayed up as long as it had.
