What exactly is the Tea Party platform?
Okay so I've googled and googled. Maybe I missed it. I've found lots of blogs for the "Tea Party Platform" but all of them are the writer's personal views and agenda. And there are literally thousands of sites and news articles so I'm not hunting through all of that...
Is there an official Tea Party platform somewhere? Like the ones the GOP, Dems, and Libertarians have on their web sites? |

I don't think there is an actual platform. I'm pretty sure it's just a group of people protesting an overbearing government. Which would turn people off if they were looking to them for a political party. I agree with Captain America, though I laugh at the reference of teabaggin', it kind of reminds me of what this country plans to do to the face of Socialism... I don't know that I would associate myself with them, though I would definitely support any group whose goal was to decrease the size of government.

One of things everyone discovered this weekend is that once they Tea Baggers got together and actually talked to each other in person, they found out they didn't have that much in common.
The problem for that movement is simple--they only know what they're against. Kind of reminds me of another movement from American political history: |

I think it's about deficit spending, the govt run healthcare, and the way the govt handled the financial crisis. People think the govt is out of touch with the voters on these issues.
