NY23...as you know...wasn't a standard election and something tells me a solid Dem defeat in 2010 will bring more of your denials.
Denial ain't a river in Egypt, Pogue. However, I'll not be the one that nudges you awake, again, history repeats itself and you all thought the 1993 Governor's race in Va didn't mean anything either. 1994 an historic and landmark election, can 2010 be another?
Denials such as yours say yes.
You're right NY23 wasn't standard the republicans lost a seat they had held solidly since the Civil war. A seat Dems several times didn't even put a candidate. A seat where the dem got blown out even when a third candidate was on the ballot and yet they won it. As opposed to a seat that has been held by the same guy for decades NY23 has been held by multiple republicans for decades with very few democrats coming close.
I've tracked elections for quite a while now and pay attention to the raw data as opposed to wild speculation. 1994 was supposed to also bring the decades long rule of republicans. You remember that right? The democrats would be pushed into the wilderness for decades. What exactly happened there?
Remind me what happened to George Allen again?
Virginia switches parties in the governor's mansion every few elections
