T-Paw's counterprogram Pawlenty, at noon, plans to roll out some conservative health

T-Paw's counterprogram

Pawlenty, at noon, plans to roll out some conservative health care plans for his state's next legislative session, the Strib reports.

He's also got an op-ed on Big Government (new as a venue for pieces like this), attacking Obama's plan and pushing ideas "like medical liability reform, allowing employees to keep their insurance when they switch jobs, standardizing health information technology, and allowing consumers to purchase insurance across state lines."

That last one -- an end to state mandates -- is a popular conservative solution that proved poltiically disastrous for Chris Christie this year, and his battering for effectively proposing an end to mandated mammogram coverage may make others leery of it.

Pawlenty is interesting. He actually gets substantive. Yes, he can get off a gratuitous partisan maneuver from time to time, but mostly that is not who he is (from what I've seen, anyway).

I saw a thing not to long ago saying Minnesotans don't want him to run for President. Why wouldn't they want their Gov to run for President?
