What exactly would you call lies and distortions that is said for the sole purpose of creating hate and division?

It works fine for you and all I hear in that is let other people die, suffer, and go hungry due to health issues. You would keep health care from those who honestly need it so that those you don't want to help don't have it? That makes little to no sense. In fact, it's downright immoral.

Again, doing your homework would help. Wanna see what physicians get paid in Canada?

National Average Income for Medical Doctors Canada | Discovery Finance

Here's the government document the information is culled from:

http://secure.cihi.ca/cihiweb/produc..._Eng_final.pdf

Sorry, I don't think they do poorly and if our doctors did equally as well, then Canadian docs wouldn't be coming down here. When are we going to understand that we can't sustain the costs we pay for health care including the pay doctors get. After you get all the other fool hardy insurance people out of the way, maybe it won't be so bad since the Doctors would know what their salary is without any guessing.

Our current system is ranked 37th in quality in the world and yet is the most expensive. You don't see anything wrong with that? Well, Insurance companies aren't going away under the current system and there needs to be an advocate for patients against doctors that abuse their position. I don't think it's a decent argument to make that a small portion of the population puts themselves in harms way and therefore should not receive help. Every time you get in your car or ride a motorcycle, you put yourself in harms way. Again, a poor argument.

WHO | World Health Organization Assesses the World's Health Systems

We are the wealthiest nation on the planet and we can't get this done. Sad. Just sad.

Here is another good article by the way:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/12/opinion/12sun1.html

Is there a perfect system? No. Are there better systems? Hell yeah.

What has happened in America is a mass of misinformation distributed by Pharma and Health Insurance companies in order to scare us into keeping them around. Sorry, I'm for single payer, but I will take the public option if that is all we can get out of the cowards in Congress.

Want more links, just ask and you shall receive.
I have no problem with people who need healthcare getting it, and currently they do. I do have a problem with paying for drug addicts to recieve medical treatment. If someone decides to do something like drugs then they should have to pay for their medical care. And I do not believe (I could be wrong) that NPR is an entirely unbiased source. I know the NY Times is not.

Aside from this, the government can't even run the programs it has efficiently. We don't need another gigantic program for the Feds to screw up.

Speaking of evidence, the healthcare options being touted by the Administration are, by any terms imaginable, a step in the wrong direction.

$180 a month equates to $2,160 per year. For a family of four the rates are, as I recall, about $500-$600 per month, or $7,200 per year (remember McCain's proposed $7,500 tax credit for health insurance?)

The CBO's assessment of the healthcare bill crawling through Congress estimates the following:

• Increase in budget deficit for each additional person insured by the program:
- 2015: $9,125 per person
- 2019: $11,118 per person

McCain's tax credit (which was, as I recall, refundable), would give more people more opportunities to obtain coverage, and cost one-fourth to one-third the plan currently being assembled in Congress.

Good avise Jall. You get what you give is what I have been telling the people on the right for years now. Do you think the Republicans have being following that logic?
Your feelings do not constitute evidence. Please show where these things you described fall under hate speech by current law.

"Republicans" is far too broad to paint with the brush you are using. Are there hysterical components of the republican party? Yes. Are there hysterical components of the democratic party? Yes. Is it fair to paint the entire group by the actions of the few? Not at all.

I also do not subscribe to the excuse "because he did it, too" as being a legitimate justification for poor behavior.

and, oh, BS on the afford "premium" health insurance. I know that isn't true from my own experience.
Do you read???

They DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!!!!!!! Any non-profit hospital will treat them first and bill them later. If they cannot pay later, the bill will not count against their credit score, and if they talk to the hospital and have a legitimate excuse for not paying the hospital will write it off.

God. Could you be a little more biased please? I can't tell which way you lean. There is definately a point to keeping your ideology private, I mean none of us can tell what side you are on.

Democrats pull the same crap. Case in point: YOU

Do you or have you seen anybody IN the Obama Administration doing that to anybody on the Right? To rile up their supporters?
