If you take anything away from Obama's speech about Trump today, he seems to be keeping one eye on the bombastic Billionaire, as he prepares to depart from the White House, but as Trump asks for help in a job he seems too overwhelmed to understand Obama could end up owning Trump's legacy too!

If as Trump says, he seeks the advice of the President, Many, many, many times. Then we could see a fruitful relationship between the two bitter enemies and if you mentioned, in 2009 that in 2016 Trump and Obama would be best friends and working together constantly. Glenn Beck would have had a heart attack, if he didn't change too!

The civility Trump has shown in the past week has been nothing short of astounding and the future looks to be if not promising, interesting.

Well who can rule it out....Carter was better out of office than in, it is not impossible that Obama will learn, will get better.

But dont give Obama any credit for how Trump is acting now that he has the gig, this is part of who Trump is, has always been, I never doubted it.

BTW: Trump will work with anyone who is going his way.

It has always been thus.

Obama is too much of a narcissistic megalomaniac. He'll never learn anything except for how much money he can squeeze out of other liberals for speaking engagements.

I find it very VERY difficult to believe that Obama and Trump will be anything other than polite adversaries.

This reputation of his beliefs has to be a major shock, and pain is the best teacher there is (I just discovered yesterday that this is a major theme in the move "Inferno", but I have been saying it since the very early aughts).

"THIS IS NOT WHO WE ARE!" went the oft given lecture to the nation from the Professor in Chief.

Damn, did he ever make a fool out of himself.

And those who waited on his every word.

FOR 8 YEARS!

His entire administration was basically "I love democrat minorities, and screw everyone else." Hillary thought it smart to run on that notion too, and look where it got her.

Obama is lucky Trump isn't saying "Thanks, but no thanks"..

I hope Trump is keeping an open mind to the possibility of Obama pulling some mischievous **** on him..

The Obama administration was at heart " I am brilliant, do what I say, or else **** YOU!...If you choose to not do as I command then you are by definition a reprobate, and then I dont care about you".

And the elite are so shocked at all the anger they have generated, in fact they still are a long ways off from figuring out that they caused it, they think that people not their equals caused Trump, the fraction of a human, AKA the WHITE MAN , they be the problem that needs to be fixed.

Like the guy you elected? And you will whine about that also.

Wha you people, what did Obama ever do but fail to get Republicans to work with him, oh, ya and defunding Benghazi for this.

I think Obama will do what is best for the Country and give the new President a shot. He knows the new President can just as easily screw up himself. He doesn't need Obama's help.

He was never "my" guy. If "dead cat" were running against Hillary, I'd have voted for the dead cat. If it bothers you too much, then your party should have nominated a better candidate.

...and I am keeping an open mind (and fingers crossed) that Trump will actually fill his cabinet with intelligent people and take advice and criticism. Bitch all you want, the guy isn't the president yet, and he's only been the president-elect for a week. Yes...he's inexperienced. So was Obama. So was Eisenhower. So was Grant.

My Party? Ha, what Party would that be? I am only upset that Both could not lose.

We shall see, and yes if he screws up or does something that harms the Nation or The People I will definitely be pointing it out.

That's fair enough.

Good, because I want even those that supported trump to do the same thing. I am betting on the Congress to keep things in check but one can never tell how that will work out.

2009? Trump thought Obama was a good president in 2009.

It wasn't until around 2011 that Trump started to pretend to hate Obama with the whole birther issue, as he was eyeing a presidential run on the GOP side.
