Predictions for a Trump Presidency

I'm still flailing as I look for your answer to the question. I never thought Hillary was going to jail. Where did you get that idea? Sorry, that was another question, wasn't it.

Lets review again for people who cant follow a simple point. I made this prediction the day after the election. That's almost 7 months ago and when a large % percentage of conservatives thought she would be going to jail

Hillary won’t be going to jail (another “no brainer/shock to conservatives”).

You posted this response
That was settled already. What makes you think she is in danger of it now?

It's just amazing that you "misparaphrased" me posting "my 7 month old prediction that Hillary wont be going to jail is correct" as "why do you think she is danger now?". And again fmw, I made that prediction when most conservatives just knew for a fact that Hillary would go to jail. You can post the following replies to my post:

"wow Vern, you were spot on"
"you're a witch!!!!"
no response

You just don't get to post "why do you think she is danger now?"

In other words, you like Trump.

First let me say, that made me laugh. Now I realize you meant it to be funny but we can still use it as learning experience for conservatives. Lets begin

Conservatives are unable to properly process reality. This forum is overrun with examples of conservatives not grasping simple facts. Sometimes they’re pretending but most are examples of them being unable to grasp something they don’t want to believe (just look at fmw above confusing debt and deficits even after I reiterated I said deficit). Its why all conservative narratives fit on a bumper sticker. Your conservative masters know to keep things short and simple. So to a conservative “Trump not repealing Obamacare” should be something I support. But of course reality is not that simple. Trump tried to repeal Obamacare and failed. See how its not the same thing.

Trump was more than happy to try to take insurance away from 24 million people. He repeatedly claimed it was better when it was not better by any metric. And the hilarious/sad thing is Trumpcare failed because it wasn’t bad enough for the Freedom Caucaus. It literally didn’t hurt enough average Americans for them. And guess what, Trump is saying the latest version is even better. His words are as detached from reality as any conservative at this forum.

So just to be clear (in case you weren’t joking), no I don’t support Trump.

A learning experience for conservatives? Have Democrats learned anything from the experience of watching the Republicans gain the most power of any party since 1928? The reason that happened is because Democrats haven't learned anything from the last six years of elections.

I disagree. I don't think conservatives thought she would go to jail. She is above the law, after all. I think some of them hoped she would

"wah wah you're rude" is just a cowardly dodge from the fact you cant respond to what I post. Lets review

My prediction.

your flailing response

my response to your obedient flailing

your contradictory response

Since you're probably still not getting it let me paraphrase
Vern prediction: deficit will go up (I said deficit not debt)
fmw: it always goes up
Vern: I said deficit not debt. It went down under Clinton and President Obama
confused and contradictory response: it went down under Clinton and President Obama

You really need to work on your reading comprehension skills because you're still not grasping the point of the thread. Nobody asked you for your excuses "wah wah internet" or your incoherent delusional excuses "wah wah Obama simply traded deficit for debt." Let me try again, I made predictions. They're coming true. Telling us why they are coming true or what you do or don't like is not a response to my posts.

Confusing only to you. What I wrote makes perfect sense to me.

He won’t build a wall (yea, no brainer right? not to about 20-30 % of America)
He won’t repeal Obamacare (that’s a bold one)
When a recession hits, republicans will re-discover the benefits of stimulus (sadly only in tax cut form)
His wife will ‘alledgedly’ have an affair with a secret service agent (he’s old, she’s young, most SS guys are studs. Just saying)
The deficit will go up (I wrote deficit guys, not debt)
Conservatives will figure out the liberal won (another bold one because they never admit when they’re wrong)
Democrats will not root for economic collapse (we put America first)
Hillary won’t be going to jail (another “no brainer/shock to conservatives”)
Conservatives will whine the office of the presidency deserves respect. (It’s called hypocrisy)
The incessant “stock market is about to crash” reports will be replaced by “it can only go up” reports.

Post em if you got em.

LOL, okay. I made this prediction or stated it many times beginning when it became apparent that Trump and Clinton would be the two major parties nominees. That whomever won, would have a very hard time governing. My reason was when over half of all Americans dislike and distrust you, they are going to be against you. Trump not only has the Democrats united against him, he still has that small faction within the Republican Party that were known as Never Trumpers against him, although I would estimate at the moment it is only around 15% of the GOP. Independents were never for Trump, they detested both candidates. According to Gallup, 54% of independents disliked both candidates, although Trump won independents 46-42 over Clinton, 12% of them still voted third party to show their disdain. Independents voted for the candidate they least wanted to lose, not for one they wanted to win or favored.

But regardless, when over 50% of all Americans have made up their minds they don't like you. You're going to have a hard time governing. Throw in those Republicans that dislike Trump, he can't even count on a unified party in congress or Republicans as a whole to back him in whatever he wants to do. You may be more right than most folks here think.

sorry Pero, Trump's problems were brought on by Trump and the non stop republican lies about Obamacare the last 7 years. Trump is a petulant narcissistic man child and republicans didn't think they would have to back up their talk about Obamacare. President Obama was easily able to govern. Sure it got harder when the house went republican and then the congress. And again (I don't know why I have to keep reminding people) you and yours hated President Obama because he was a secret muslim terrorist born in Kenya and he wanted to kill old people. We don't have to believe the most asinine lies about Trump to be disappointed in him. We simply have to listen to him.

sorry fmw, another post from you that requires you to make something up or ignore the facts. The facts are that Trump said he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary and "lock her up" was a pretty standard chant at Trump rallies. So again I point out, I made that prediction when you and yours were convinced she was going to jail especially if Trump won. again the following responses are acceptable

"good call vern"
"you're a witch"

Confusing only to you. What I wrote makes perfect sense to me.

and that's the problem fmw, it made sense to you. Remember when I posted "I was correct, Hillary's not going to jail"? It made perfect sense to you when you posted "why do you think she's in danger now?" As a conservative, you just cant follow a simple point. Now please explain how you post "the deficit always goes up " and then tell me "it went down under Clinton and President Obama". You even gave us this nonsensical nugget "Obama simply traded deficit for debt" as if it magically explained everything. Sadly it magically explained everything to you.

and again, when trump stops throwing his tantrums and comes up with a budget, I'll get to check another prediction off my list.

I never hated President Obama, I thought he was a below average president much like Carter, Ford and Bush II in my lifetime. The two presidents I rate at the top are IKE and JFK followed by Reagan and Bill Clinton. The rest are in the middle, average.

Partisans like you defended Obama no matter what, right, wrong or indifferent and the other side's partisans attacked him, right, wrong or indifferent of what he did. That is blind partisanship. I have my likes and dislikes, but pushing the ACA upon the American people when the vast majority of Americans didn't want it was totally wrong. Obama and the Democrats told the American people what they want, what they thought was irrelevant, basically tell that vast majority to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. For them to go to hades in a hand basket. Totally wrong, political agenda triumphs the people. The Democrats paid the price with a 63 seat loss in the house.

Trump is an idiot and was unwanted to become the next president by 60% of the American people, Clinton was unwanted by about the same percentage. But the two major parties also told the majority of Americans to go to hades in a hand basket and forced those two upon America as a whole. So we had an election where the candidate whom we least wanted to lose, won. Not the one we wanted to win, but the one we wanted to least lose by a wee bit of a whisker.

25% of All Americans according to Gallup disliked, detested both candidates. With Republicans disdain of Clinton the the Democrats disdain of Trump, you got both with a 60% dislike. That election wasn't a choice for any sane individual, probably for partisans, but not one for a sane person who cared about America.

You even gave us this nonsensical nugget "Obama simply traded deficit for debt" as if it magically explained everything. Sadly it magically explained everything to you.
.

I agree that what the Obama administration did was nonsensical but they did exactly what I said they did. The debt doubled during those 8 years. If you borrow money to pay the bills, that is a form of deficit. So is printing money, the other popular government activity. Deficit means you spent more than you earned. Not too complicated for most of us.

The facts are that they wished for her to be indicted, not that they thought it would happen. I was responding to what you said and you said that they thought she would be indicted. Show some evidence that they thought it would happen. My experience is the opposite.

Oh please. It was the left's lies about Trump that helped him get elected. And, your solution to that problem is more of the same. Hasn't it sunk in yet that the electorate doesn't believe the left's lies, the mainstream media's lies, or Hollywood's lies?

Pero, telling me you didn’t hate President Obama and calling me a partisan doesn’t address the fact that:

A conservatives obediently hated president Obama because of the non stop lies from the right
B he was still able to govern

and that completely disproves your narrative. trump’s and the republican congress’s inability to govern is 100% their fault. Polls are not making them both incompetent liars. They did it all by themselves.

even when you try you just cant get my get my posts right. I didn't say "conservatives thought she'd be indicted". I said "conservatives thought she was going to jail". the conservative media told you over and over she was going to jail and you and yours obediently believed it. and remember, your "experiences" are based on your perception. when you can actually comprehend my clear straight forward posts, come on back and tell us about your "experiences."

Oh MR, someday you’ll have the courage to respond to what I post. Instead of constantly trying to deflect just admit my predictions seem to hitting at a high rate.

I hardly ever defended Obama, I never backed him. I preferred McCain in 2008 and Johnson in 2012. At the same time I hardly ever defended Bush II either. Neither Bush II or Obama was my choice. In 2000 I preferred either Bill Bradley or Lamar Alexander, McCain in 2008, Johnson in the GOP primaries and once again as the Libertarian Party candidate in 2012.

If Obama could have run for a third term against Trump, I would have voted for him. I never voted for Bill Clinton either, voting both times for Ross Perot, but if he could have run for a third term, I would have voted for him. Now I have defended Bill more times than any other president. I think he was a good president, above average. Obama and Bush II below average. The difference between me and you, the D is everything, to me, the R and the D mean nothing. It's the candidate that matters, a candidate that I think will leave this country better off once they leave office than when they first entered.

But speaking of Obama, there is something interesting. 49% say they miss Obama, 46% do not.

Do Voters Miss Obama? - Rasmussen Reports™

I think because I am anti-ACA you think I hate Obama. But if one has to back and endorse, agree 100% with a president with no objections whatsoever to not hate a president, then being against the ACA must mean I hate him then. I'm against Hillary because she put classified national security information at risk to include 22 top secret special access programs and laughed about it stating it was all a right wing conspiracy. Being a military man all my life and knowing and been part of the special access programs, there is no way I could support someone who thinks putting our nation's security information at risk is funny.

I take you think it was funny too. All the other party's fault. All a vast right wing conspiracy. She should have withdrew. If she did, you would have a Democrat sitting in the White House today.

Fortune cookies and fortune tellers have ten times the credibility of your partisan garbage. Did you predict Trump winning? Did you predict the Republican party would gain the most power of any party since 1928?

wow, you typed all those words and were unable to respond to what I posted. I'd be shocked if didn't happen to 95% of my posts. do me a favor, stop telling me your life story, stop "assuming" what I think and respond to what I post. lets try this again

I think one can take political differences as hate. There are conservatives who liberals and liberals who hate conservatives. There are Republicans who blame everything that goes wrong in the world on Democrats and Democrats who do the same thing to Republicans. What those folks fail to understand is there are a lot of different political philosophies and ideologies in this world of ours. I don't equate being against the ACA as hate for Obama. I don't equate one being anti-Trumpcare or whatever it is called as hate for Trump. It is true some folks who are against the ACA also hate Obama as some who are against Trumpcare hate Trump. But most folks who are anti ACA or Trumpcare are against it on substance, their ideology, philosophy on government and governmental responsibility or they just think it is a bad law. Not that they hate.

Your mind is made up, all conservatives hate Obama. All anti-ACA folks hate Obama. So be it. We live in two different worlds.
