Four years of Hillary a good thing?

I never said they are irrelevant. They just aren't the only demographic a party needs to appeal to if they want to be elected in major elections. Take it easy on the red bulls.

I just get sick of hearing the racists crap. Let's talk about platform, not demographics. Both parties are guilty of appealing to race in a bad way.
If you want to talk about this race issue in the parties, let's not pretend it applies to only one party.

If Hillary is elected President, there is nothing to look forward to but:

* More staggering debt, most likely in the neighborhood of an increase of an additional $5 TRILLION over the first four years
* The final collapse of Social Security
* More corruption, more scandals, and even less accountability
* An agenda-driven (read, ignoring the spirit and letter of the Constitution) liberal majority in the US Supreme Court, and a resulting diminishment of our personal liberties and freedoms
and
* A staggering increase in the already horrible percentage of Americans out of work and drawing welfare, public assistance, and food stamps.

But we already knew that, didn't we?
:doh

I might just quit work and join them. Everyone can live off the government and the government workers can pay for it. Welfare and a citizenship for the entire world. Fire up the printing press and start the money flowing. No need for accountability. Print whatever we need.

I never pretended it did. I do think that different demographics have a lot of the same values and hopes in a candidate, but I also believe they have specific values tied to their demographic. This is part of why I think the GOP needs a big shift in how they view things. If the GOP got on board with trying to fix the criminal justice system or find a way to make college more affordable more people would be attracted to them. Small government and less regulation is appealing, but it isn't strong enough by itself to convince people to come over. They need to know the party cares about them specifically along with the main points of party policy.

I have said on a number of occasions over the past year that I would vote for a fetid, rheumy puddle of dog diarrhea before I would vote for Hillary Clinton. ... (

Then you should have been more careful what you wished for!

Then you should have been more careful what you wished for!

Yeah, I know, right?

I even voted for Barack Obama in the 2008 Primaries, just to keep Hillary from getting in.
And what a freaking disaster that turned out to be, for all of us.
:(

In light of Trumps poor values, I can't help but contemplate Hillary as our next president. Would it be good for our Country?

I think it might be. Obama and the Fascist Progressives have taken us a long way down a bad road. Hillary will no doubt continue this journey. It could lead to a far stronger win in 2020 for conservatives, and hopefully we can put up a candidate that has a conservative platform, some integrity, and values that won't have us becoming a cog in the globalist Progressive world. Sure it will be a bumpy ride, but it might be worth putting up with.
The one thing Progressives don't seem to realize: The more they make their dreams come true the less people like it.
That's what some were saying about Obama. It wasn't.

No, this country will suffer under Hillary Clinton. But the Republicans gave the White House to her the day they nominated Donald Trump. Almost any other Republican candidate would have beat Hillary. But that was the GOP choice, now all of us will have to suffer for the choice the Republicans made.

Hillary Clinton will use her position as president to make herself richer while making this country poorer.

It's preferable to Trump by a long shot.

It's also far less preferable to Bush, Kasich, or Rubio.

lol

Trump has burned the Republican party to the ground.

He's destroyed its chances with minorities for a generation; wrecked pretty much any argument on the basis of character; and ruined the role of policy in the primary selection process.

Minorities are growing in population and political power with every passing year. He is very likely lose the Hispanic vote by a historically low margin, and has hung the millstone of nativism around the Republican party for years to come. His idea of appeal to blacks is to suggest that their lives are hellish, and they have nothing to lose by voting for a President who shows no signs of caring about that community. He isn't doing so hot with Asians either, another growing and influential group.

It should be obvious that Republicans can no longer claim the moral high ground in terms of character. In their willingness to excuse his unethical behavior in the name of political expediency, they have lost that argument for years to come.

Trump's candidacy basically flushed conservative policy orthodoxy down the tubes. Free trade, once a standard position in most conservative ideologies, is now radioactive for Republicans. He's trashed the Club for Growth. I'm not sure what else we can say, because he's flipped on pretty much every policy not only in the past 10 years, but apparently in the last 6 months.

More importantly, he didn't win the primary because of specific policies about taxes, law enforcement, energy policy, foreign affairs, military, veterans, or pretty much anything else -- because he never specified any of that during the primary, and has flipped on them whenever he felt like it. The only specifics, which actually wasn't specific at all, was "build a wall and make Mexico pay for it." He even tried to roll back the extreme nativism, only to find it outraged his alt-right followers.

Trump's candidacy was all about the cult of personality. Not policy.

The reality is that a vulgar, feckless, lying, nativist narcissistic, with a long history history of donating to Democrats, handily beat a dozen Republican candidates in the primary.

Good luck rebounding from that. I have a feeling it's gonna take more than 4 years.

I do get this, and I do agonize over it. But isn't this exactly what Christ said would happen?
Uh.... No.

At what point do we fight, and at what point do we trust Him?
Trust who, to do what?

And what does "fight" mean in this context?

I surely won't be voting for Hillary. I hope there is some great shake-up that would give me an alternative to Trump.
There isn't.

You had your chance to advocate for and nominate an alternative. No take-backsies.

And of course, you can still vote 3rd party. Have fun with that.
