Donald Trump Makes History with Zero Major Newspaper Endorsements



With just a little over a month until Election Day, Donald Trump has racked up zero major newspaper endorsements, a first for any major party nominee in American history.

While newspaper endorsements don’t necessarily change voters’ minds, this year’s barrage of anti-Trump endorsements could actually move the needle come November, experts say. “It’s significant,” Jack Pitney, professor of government at California’s Claremont McKenna College, told TheWrap. “The cumulative effect of all these defections could have an impact on moderate Republicans.”

Some conservative papers, which have endorsed Republicans for decades, are now breaking with tradition to endorse Hillary Clinton or, at the very least, urge their readers not to vote for Trump.

Several have taken a stand even at the expense of losing subscribers at a time when newspapers are barely staying afloat. Some papers have received death threats. But for a growing number of newspaper editorial boards, staying on the sidelines is no longer an option.

This is just one of the accomplishments Donald Trump will be remembered by…………..in the category of never accomplishing anything of value to society ……….

He da MAN!!! If there is any proof still needed he is not the establishment choice, this is just another nail in that coffin. Almost makes me want to become a Democrat so I can vote more than once for the guy.

The only person I know who reads a newspaper is 76 years old...and he says their editorials are a bunch of crap.

Not only does nobody care much about newspapers, nobody cares about their opinions.

Donald Trump will save America. If you think we don't have to be saved, contact people who live in the border states. Obama is destroying this country and Hillary will finish the job.

You do know that there is such a thing as the internet nowadays where people can get more...and more variety...information than they ever would from a newspaper, right?

More and more, this is where those same newspapers are getting a bulk of their information now, anyway. It seems the days of traditional reporting are behind us -- accuracy is frequently sacrificed in the name of speed. It's a shame, too. It's downright scary when you factor in the number of folks that can distinguish reliable "sources" on the internet from the plethora of codswallop out there. :shock:

Uh.....some of us don't care for endorsements by the sanctimonious, hypocritical, and biased media.
I don't know about you......but we shouldn't depend on the the media to decide for us.

The media's job is to provide FACTUAL, UNBIASED, UNSLANTED information.
Any media that fails to do that is a piece of garbage.
