As of Sept 1, the Washington post had Hillary with $795m to Trump's $403m. I can clearly remember when Bush 2 was ahead in fundraising, by a much lower percentage than Hillary enjoys now, and I remember the outrage in leftist circles about how undemocratic and unfair it was. The media raised the same 'concerns' as well. So, uhm.....where is all that outrage over the even larger and more unfair advantage that Hillary has?
I hear progressives complaining about rich people pouring money into political campaigns, but apparently they aren't too bothered when rich people pour huge sums into Democratic coffers.
Where was the outrage when Obama raised more corporate donation money than Romney? Where was the outrage when Obama received more $$ from BP in 2008, and then granted them a "categorical exclusion" from safety inspections before the gulf oil spill? Common sense dictates that there probably wouldn't have been a spill if BP wouldn't have been excluded from inspections on the very oil rig that exploded and it's safety equipment failed to work!
Seems that political and ideological advancement 'trumps' a fair democratic system, as well as the environment......
