What is the definition of a racist? Someone winning an argument with a liberal.

This is the same kind of stuff that drove me away from the GOP to begin with - I had to make a choice whether to stick with what I'd believed all my life, that my family strongly believed...or to look at the actual hard-and-cold facts, the actual evidence. Is Trump innocent or guilty? Follow the evidence wherever it may lead.

Even then, if the evidence shows that he was just being a hardheaded dumbass - like Hillary was with her e-mail server - that's one thing...but going to a white supremacist website and reposting information from there when his campaign has already been dogged with accusations of - ahem - a bit too much tolerance for racism...

...that shows not just a deliberate choice, but a pattern of conduct. And it's those three words - "pattern of conduct" - that should be most troubling to you. You've been around the block - hell, you helped build the doggone block just as I did - and you do know what I mean.

Pretty impressive for a group nobody had heard of until today to have secured Obama's nomination eight years ago all by themselves.

No, But I believe that the laws governing national security were meant to protect us from THREATS and espionage. Not to harass or constrict high Govt. officials who are trusted to help protect us. I want our leaders to have the confidence to do what they think is right and not worry about politics. GW Bush broke international law by allowing the U.S. to torture prisoners. Do you think he should have been punished?

You mean saying not only that he doesn't know who David Duke is, but that he doesn't even know what "white supremacy" or "white supremacist" is, is not pandering to such persons?

Claiming that the Mexican government is deliberately exporting rapists, murderers, and junkies to the US is not pandering to such persons?

Saying that we should impose a red line rule barring all non-citizen muslims from entry to the country (before flip-flopping on it) is not pandering?

Retweeting offensive tweets from open and admitted racist groups/individuals, then claiming not to have known or intended to support them, is not pandering?



The list goes on and on. He repeatedly does things that stop just short of explicitly saying "X ethnic group sucks, amirite?", knowing that it will cause offense. He wants it to cause offense because once people say they are offended, etc, he can turn around and tell his supporters that this is evidence that he - and by extension all of the right - is being victimized by "political correctness". Therefore, vote for him to fight political correctness.

One doesn't need to explicitly say "black people suck" to pander to people who are racist against black people. He's at least smart enough to realize that would sink him. So he does things like the above.
