👉I am pro choice, let's not get that aspect of this twisted. But I don't like the way PP is managed and I don't like the deception that surrounds it. Nobody should!

For years now, we keep hearing that women will suffer greatly, and won't be able to get the cancer screenings that they desperately need if Planned Parenthood is federally defunded. Many democrats and big name progressives are on record making the claim that PP offers cancer screenings. Even their director had made this claim.

Its designed to create yet another false narrative to create the perception that PP is crucial to ALL women, not just those needing abortions. But congress, fact checking websites and media have disproven this false narrative.

When the lie is exposed, these ideologs quickly begin arguing semantics, and claiming that "what I really mean is that PP can provide referrals". Big difference between a referral and actually providing the service! When a person needs testing done, most insurance policies require the standard action of contacting your primary physician, who usually will give you a preliminary inspection, followed, if needed, by instructions to go to a specialist for cancer screenings. It generally needs to be a physician who is covered by your insurance.

There is no reason in the world that someone would go to an abortion clinic to get a referral for cancer screening, when your own doctor is much more capable of dealing with all aspects involved! If you have HMO style insurance, you'll probably go to a health center where many health services are offered in 1 building.

Even if you don't have a doctor, youd go to a local free health clinic, which are like one stop shops for all things health related.

Now, there's a political ad running against Toomey, and in the ad there is a 'concerned looking woman talking about how Toomey will prevent women from getting cancer screenings if he defunds PP.

Every aspect of this never-ending propaganda is patently false and designed to create unjustified fear. Women will NOT be prevented from receiving any basic health care as a result of any action taken that negatively effects Planned Parenthood.

Heh. When I read the title at first before I clicked on it, I thought it said "Planned Parenthood DOES NOT provide cancer".

Umm, PP does perform cancer screenings. According to FactCheck, PP performs hundreds of thousands of breast exams and hundreds of thousands of Pap Smears. In addition, they help low-income women find grants and assistance to pay for mammograms and several PP clinics have mobile mammogram units that offer free mammograms

So what. Leave Planned Parenthood alone. They're the ones who supply condoms to the left-leaning radicals, inhibiting them from breeding. It's a win-win.

Except, of course, PP DOES provide cancer screenings. So the only person lying here is you, Mr. "moderation."

Sorry, Kobie, but according to Planned Parenthood, you fail.

"Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses teach patients about breast care, connect patients to resources to help them get vital biopsies, ultrasounds, and mammograms, and follow up to make sure patients are cared for with the attention they need and deserve."

"...connect patients to resources to help them get vital biopsies, ultrasounds, and mammograms." For some, I suppose telling someone to go see a doctor is the equivalent to providing the service. I did notice you were gracious enough, Kobie, to not try and post a link so I thought I'd help you with a Planned Parenthood link.

From your link
Breast cancer screenings, such as breast exams or mammograms, help detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage. These breast cancer detection tools can save lives.

That's great, Sangha. It's a shame Planned Parenthood doesn't do mammograms, isn't it? Bottom line, Planned Parenthood does abortions. Abortions are their business. They refer patients somewhere else for "healthcare".

Good job Pat. MR messed up saying "cancer screening". You know to only use the phrase "mammogram" instead of the phrase "cancer screening". (You of course were vague in your first post and used neither phrase). PP absolutely does cancer screening. that would be in the form of breast exams and pap smears.
