I keep seeing the shocking news in the UK and how shocked everyone is.
And All I can think of, is Donald Trump.

I must point out that due to an amazing line up of marketing tactics Trump, "just happened" to be in Scotland for the "opening of a golf course" there. I think he obviously subtly did that on purpose, he may have even hoped for the the Brexit so that he can tout his anti-establishment message which now all of international and British media are admitting and agreeing with!

Trump has been acting very presidential throughout the last few days as he took a Victory Lap around the Brexit results. What is interesting here is that Trump would have a much better opportunity than Hillary dealing with the new UK government than a Clinton wishing for the good old days. In fact, Trump if elected could probably leave a long lasting legacy in the UK as this weird anti-establishment message echoes around the world!

It's a matter of personal interpretation. Mine is that the middle and the left will be even more unified in horror at what the policies of a Trump presidency could bring about. Anybody who's awake (god I hate using that term) will pull their collective heads out of their asses and join forces against the possibility of Trump winning. In my opinion, any differences between the Clinton and Sanders camp as well as Conservatives who desire economic stability will effectively be vaporized by this common threat.

And my personal interpretation is not that far off. Clinton is ahead in Arizona and Utah, and now this...

Republican ex-Treasury chief Paulson slams Trump, to vote for Clinton

Henry Paulson, a Republican who was U.S. Treasury secretary during the 2008 financial meltdown, on Friday called a Donald Trump presidency "unthinkable" and said he will vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Paulson joins a growing list of establishment Republicans who say they will not cast a ballot in the Nov. 8 election for Trump, the party's presumptive nominee and a political neophyte whose populist rhetoric runs counter to many long-held Republican principles.

"When it comes to the presidency, I will not vote for Donald Trump," Paulson, who was chief executive of Goldman Sachs before becoming Treasury chief under Republican President George W. Bush, wrote in an opinion piece in the Washington Post.

"I'll be voting for Hillary Clinton, with the hope that she can bring Americans together to do the things necessary to strengthen our economy, our environment and our place in the world," he said.

No matter how distasteful Clinton may be to the Right, an increasing number are coming to the realization that she simply doesn't represent the chaos that Trump does.

What happened in the UK this week is Trump's policies made into action.

Trump was in the UK during one of the most tumultuous and probably consequential political decisions in the UK in our lifetimes. And he didn't make a single visit to a single political leader. He spoke in front of cameras and spent the whole time, while the financial world was in turmoil and within an hour of the PM resigning, talking about how great his resort was. When a reporter asked about the Brexit, which was the only thing any normal person wanted to discuss at the time, he proved his cluelessness by congratulating them for voting to leave. That fact that he was in Scotland at the time seems to not have occurred to him. Scotland will quite probably secede from the UK, since they overwhelmingly voted to remain. The Brexit might be the last straw.

It's kind of like he was in Berlin when the wall came down but only wanted to talk about a hotel he owned there, and then when asked about the wall, he congratulated the Soviet Union for building it so high.
I never thought I'd see someone make Sarah Palin look well-briefed on foreign policy matters, but today Donald Trump did just that.

Ironically Trump was in the most pro-Remain part of the UK.

But doing that doesn't help trumps message. Even if that is what he should be doing. He'd look even more hypocritical to his supporters

Which just further proves that Trump supporters are morons.

Didn't he thank Scotland for voting to leave the EU, when the majority of them voted to stay?

Ahahahahahaha....

And give me a break. The standards for Trump have been brought so low that him not whipping his dick out and urinating in public is "acting very presidential."

Economists are pretty unanimous in predicting that this will make the UK poorer. How much so is indeterminable. The Pound will be weaker, which will make most goods more expensive the the Brits, but make it cheaper for the rest of us to visit.

Scotland may very well now secede from the UK. Northern Ireland may go as well.

So ultimately this could result in a weaker and poorer England. Which makes people like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin happy.
Russia and Iran delight in UK's rejection of EU

The Donald has spoken!! Rabble rabble rabble! Next he'll be suggesting that the Brits build a wall and the EU member Countries can pay for it!

As a side note, why aren't all the Brexit folks complaining loudly about foreign interference in their referendum, like they did when Obama spoke up in favour of remaining?

My first thought yesterday was that the only person the vote helped in any tangible, measurable way was Putin. Everybody else will suffer, they're just going to learn it later than others.

There won't be a new UK government. The Conservative Party will choose a new leader who will be the Prime Minister. The government will be the same otherwise.

did not scotland mostly vote to stay in the eu?

why should i vote for trump because of britain leaving the eu?

Because a vote that Trump supported in another country by a completely different breakdown in voting demographics passed. Duh.

Let Scotland secede, what is their secession plan? They produce nothing except North Sea oil and oil prices are too low to profit from.

In addition the EU (especially Spain) is not likely to admit independent Scotland. Not to mention Frexit is polling well and so is Netherlands secession really well. Something was always wierd about the scots, they need to stop wearing man skirts and look at that issue. And If I were Boris Johnson I'd laugh at them at tell them to secede.

Yea, I'm already fed up with closet Trumpers vindicating their forbidden love.

This is too funny ahahah. Is he doing it on purpose? No one can be that big of a moron...

I don't know how anyone can think Brexit brings Trump closer to victory.
Did anyone catch his speech yesterday? He was in Scotland to open his golf course.
He was an embarrassment. He couldn't even speak on the issue with any depth and at times giving inaccurate statements.

Trump is tanking in the polls. Latest has him losing Arizona. That's right .....Arizona.

Hundreds of delegates, yes hundreds have launched a campaign requesting to be free to vote their conscience at the convention on the first ballot.

some reasons they list include
Trump's inability to raise funds
Trump's campaign unorganized and does not have a ground team in place to run a national election.
Trump's incompetent remarks in regard to policy
Trump's views do not align with the Republican platform.

Trump has more people working trying to keep the delegates in line than he has working on his national campaign.

These groups of concerned delegates have launched radio and TV ads and yesterday one delegate brought a suit in Virginia to be freed to vote their conscience. There may be others to follow in other states.

With all that is going on right now, I give Trump a 50/50 chance of becoming the nominee. The convention will likely be one fiery showdown.

Funny how the Leave demographic mirrors Trump's supporters:

Trump was in the UK to hustle his new golf course. While there he avoided interfering in UK politics. As it should be.

Another of our politicians, on the other hand, went to England at taxpayer expense specifically to attempt to interfere in European politics. Issued not so thinly veiled threats and backed the wrong horse.

Obama is now having to backtrack on the threats. The horse fell lame on the final turn. Obama as usual ended up on the wrong side of an issue.

Trump OTOH got his golf course opened, backed no horse, congratulated the winners, and is back in the US unscathed.
