The best reason to vote for Hillary

Ted Cruz has shown time and again that he doesn't understand or respect the Constitution. The man is both an idiot and a fool.

Name one. Instead of just resorting to unsubstantiated name calling, pick an example and state your thesis.

Nonsense. He's on record stating his belief that the bible takes priority over the Constitution.

OMG...Facebook and Twitter make for some poorly informed people:

FALSE: Ted Cruz to Replace Constitution with Bible : snopes.com

LAIM: Ted Cruz will replace the Constitution with the Bible if he's elected President.

FALSE

EXAMPLE: [Collected via e-mail, February 2016]

Ted Cruz said, "...when I’m president I’ll make sure of it, because the Bible will be the Constitution. I know what the First Amendment says, and I DON’T CARE!"

Is this real?

ORIGIN:On 18 February 2016, the entertainment web site Free Wood Post published a fake news article claiming that Ted Cruz had vowed to replace the Constitution with the Bible if elected President:

I could get you a thousand...but lets just start with the most relevant and easiest one. Desperate Lyin' Ted Cruz has essentially publically said that he doesn't understand that there are three branches of government and that he doesn't believe that the Supreme Court should have any real authority in our country. He has said that the rights of the American people should not be decided by unelected judges.
He clearly does not even understand the role of the Supreme Court and the Constitution.....so why would he ever be seriously considered for a seat. Thank God...that it will never happen.

I just can't bring myself to vote for Hillary, even with this.

Nope, still gonna write-in, and thus vote for, Bernie Sanders.

Oh, calm down. Cruz will only get a participation trophy - nothing more. Prolly won't even have his name on it - same as 16 others.

He may not have said exactly that....but what he said is basically the same thing.

One more try. Post proof this was said or give up and admit you are just a political hack espousing hate over Cruz's ideology. If there are a thousand, you can find a link to one on a reputable website.

Noted that you completely disregarded the fact that I did post in response to your first point....which you completely failed to respond to. I expect that.

As to the second point. What he said was that he is a Christian First, An American second. In other words, religion is more important to him than the laws of the land. Granted...that's not saying that he is going to replace the Constitution with the Bible, in those words...but what he is saying is that when the two conflict, his first inclination is to go with his Christian beliefs first...which is fine....but not if you are President.

The man has no regard for the Constitution. He has said publicly numerous times that the rights of people should not be determined by unelected judges. He doesn't understand the role of the Supreme Court or that there are three branches of government. Scary.

According to Cruz they're also "activist judges", but only when he disagrees with their decision/ruling.

Desperate Lyin' Ted will say anything and do anything to attempt to get elected. The man is as slimey as they come. Too bad he isn't going to be their nominee.

Red herring alert.
After supporting Obama in the primaries I realized that he had zero experience, zero administrative ability, and an excess of hubris which is very scary in a person seeking power. And I don't support his making 80% of the Bush tax cuts permanent, starting 2 additional wars while failing to end the two he inherited. I think he left a mess. But he stated that he supported gun rights so that did not worry me. Nor did I think that he was going to kill old people. Where do you get this stuff?

mmm, that's odd. You seem aware enough of conservative narratives to stop supporting candidate Obama and to criticize President Obama but you are blissfully ignorant of that conservatives were running around screaming he wants to kill old people.

Poll: Four in 10 believe in Obama healthcare law ‘death panels’ | TheHill

Many Gun Owners Think Obama Will Try to Ban Gun Sales

would it be safe for me to assume you are also blissfully ignorant of any issue with President Obama's birth certificate? anyhoo, the gun narrative is still ongoing. And of course you post more conservative narratives as you pretend to be ignorant of them. President Obama has not started 2 additional wars nor has he failed to end two. you obviously (and obediently) believe the conservative narratives about Libya, Syria and Iraq. yea, you supporting candidate Obama is so believable.

Well, I was a registered Democrat in Seattle in May, 2008 and the choice in the caucus room was between Hillary and Obama so of course Obama was the better choice, at the time. Don't appreciate being called a liar but I guess that what some people do.

Never believed any of that birth certificate stuff but do recall that Obama did write in his biography that he told people he was Kenyan. More ladies that way. A non-issue for me. Obviously there is a lot of foolishness on both sides and reasonable people understand that minority opinions (or even majority opinions) don't mean unanimous opinions. 40% think death panels are legit and you automatically put me in the 40% and not in the 60%????
So, yeah, stop with the red herrings.

Eric, you've been a never ending source of conservative narratives so I don't believe you for a second that you ever supported President Obama. And just to be clear on the "death panel" thing. I put you in the party where 60-70% believed in death panels and the rest knew it was a lie but didn't care because it served their agenda. But Eric, lets discuss the latest conservative narratives you tried to slip into to the conversation. President Obama has not started 2 wars nor did he restart Iraq. there's your "red herring alert" right there.

Do you realize that American troops have died this year in both Afghanistan and Iraq?
Do you understand that the US bombed Libya?
Do you understand that we have troops in Syria?

Since Obama announced the end of combat operations back in 2009 in Iraq and 2014 in Afghanistan I would think that since we still have troops dying there something happened. Perhaps we restarted the wars there. And I would think that Syria and Libya could be considered starting wars. But then Obama never considered Libya to be a war but a "kinetic action" and therefore Congress did not need to be informed.
Such a doofus. With Hillary egging him on.

P.S. My theory is that people who suspect others of lying tend to be liars themselves. I tend to trust people, perhaps because I don't lie. I am on this website to learn truths and if lying is involved than there is no learning of truths, just obfuscations.

oh look, you're asking questions as if you're backing up your point. Do you know who does that? conservatives. Anyhoo, you said Obama started two wars and failed to end two. You ask questions because you know you posted false conservative narratives President Obama didn't start a war in Libya, Syria or Iraq. And you want to whine that he hasn't magically made Afghanistan stable. yea, you're a conservative.

Perhaps we restarted the wars there.

That's you pushing a narrative and not backing up your point. You're trying to "weave a tale" because you cant back up your point.

Just to be clear, I suspect you of lying because your posts have been a non stop parade of lying conservative narratives and then you claimed to have supported Obama. I get it Eric, you think it makes your non stop conservative narratives "believable". My opinion is only reinforced by your questions and "supposing".

He's a perfect pick. He has the knowledge and experience to handle the position. He'd be more prone to follow the Constitution over his own beliefs than any other candidate that is out there. Do you have a problem with a jurist that only considers the Constitution in SCOTUS decisions?

And the best thing would be that we wouldn't have to hear him speak again.

Cruz would make Scalia look life a left-wing liberal. He would be a disaster on the court.

He shouldn't be on the court but he would balance out Kagan for sure

mmmmm, remember when you just knew President Obama was going to destroy the economy, confiscate your guns and kill old people and black helicopters were going to be circling major cities? I do. You should stop trusting your own opinion on these matters. It just hasn't worked out well for you.

how could you claim that when you didn't join the board until after Obama was elected?

I use "you" as in the general "you" for conservatives. The things I posted were common currency for conservatives. Every single conservative obediently believed that President Obama was going to destroy the economy. they even thought they saw proof as the market was collapsing and 700,000 jobs a month were being lost but we both know who caused that. about 60-70 % of conservatives believed in "death panels". I never found a good poll about "confiscate your guns" but my coworkers were a good window into the conservative world and they believed it and guess what, its still an ongoing "narrative". The "black helicopter" thing is really just for the super special (SS) conservatives. Its like the ones who thought the army was invading texas.

Now I've seen your posts. When did you stop believing President Obama was born in Kenya?

wow, so many silly comments in one post

find a post of mine where I said Obama was born in Kenya

death panels

I guess you believed the election of W was going to mean black colleges would be banned and slavery re-instituted?

because there were ads being run against W that actually said that

Oh, so you're saying in a vague round about way that you were not part of the 60-70% of conservatives who believed President Obama was born in Kenya and wanted to kill old people. Good for you. So as a conservative you must have very upset at the non stop lying from the right about death panels and birth certificates right?

the thing is TD, democrats don't respond well to flaming lies like conservatives do (see above). I would like to see these ads because if they were real democrats wouldn't have sat quietly by while they aired. You know, the way you sat quietly by while you were told about the death panel lies, the BC lies, the Benghazi lies, the stimulus lies, the auto bailout lies, the Obamacare lies etc.
