If Hillary Isn't Indicted, the Rule of Law and the Republic Are Dead

No....actually it was not clear too most that Reagan would win in 1980. The opinion polls had it too close to call nearly into November. The left and even the moderate right made similar claims about Reagan that they are making against Cruz now. They pushed him off as some nutty far right winger. The polls were more accurate in 88.

Hillary might destroy Trump, however she would probably get destroyed herself in the process. Trump if nominated will get down and dirty with her. Cruz would mop the floor with Hillary. Against Cruz, she could not debate her way out of a wet paper bag. As for your assessment of Cruz and Kasich, you are basically making it up as you go along. Kasich has one one damn state....and it happens to be the state he lives in. Kasich simply has never been in contention for a first ballot victory and since he will not get to the convention with the majority of delegates in at least eight states, due to rule 40, he will not contend in a brokered convention either. Cruz will.

You are confused. Just because Hillary has not been prosecuted and convicted of her crimes, does not mean that they will not stick, at least politically. A politician is a very slippery animal. Most do get away with their crimes, at least legally. Her husband legally got away with felony perjury, simply because the Senate did not choose to prosecute him in civilian court.

There is some insanity on both sides. For republicans, they have not seemed to learn that running geriatric moderates for president does not win many elections for them. Populist conservatives stand a much better chance. For democrats, it is insane that they have not yet dumped the Clinton clan. I can understand them running Bill in 1992 and 1996 as he was a skilled, charismatic, at at the time relatively youthful politician. Hillary has none of those qualities. She is unlikable and lacks the politicaltalent her husband had. She has poor health and sanity hanging over her:"I dodged sniper fire in Bosnia", etc, and she has a possible indictment hanging over her head. Adn as much as you want to claim it's about politics. It is the FBI that is doing the investigation and the head of the FBI was appointed by Obama.

You are hilarious. I WISH the Republicans would run with Cruz. He is probably the least liked candidate in the history of the US. Nobody in the Senate likes him....hell, even his own family doesn't like him. The man is an idiot. Hillary would destroy him...sorry....that's just the truth. He would make Walter Mondale look like a strong candidate. He wouldn't win any states outside of the GOP red-state strongholds of the deep south and the Utah/Idaho/Dakota's Midwest map. Hell...he would probably lose North Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia and Tennessee as well. I pray that the GOP is foolish enough to pick him.

Yeah, did you see Cruz try to kiss his daughter? The way she reacted to him shows just how unlikable Cruz really is.

You can tell every time he is with his family. The guy is a dweeb and about as unlikeable as anyone can be. All you have to do is read about his colleagues and roomates from school. There is good reason why nobody likes him.

Nothing partisan about my view, son. I just want politicians to face the same penalties for breaking the law that you and I would face. And lying under oath alone certainly does qualify as perjury. Why do you think people testifying are put under oath. Vice President Cheney's aide, Scooter Libby was prosecuted for lying under oath as well. I would bet that you are quite okay with that.

Lying under oath can be perjury, but that is not sufficient to prove perjury. In order for lying under oath to be perjury, the lie must be material to the purpose of questioning.

You may think this irrelevant, but it's not. If one is on trial for sexually harassing Paula Jones, one can claim that they never sexually harassed Monica Lewinsky. It doesn't matter if they had a consensual affair, that isn't relevant.

That's why Cruz has been surging since it has come down to a three man race. It may be too late by now, however Trump is not the favored GOP candidate, despite the opinion polls.

Yep....that Cruz sure is "surging"....LOL......surging to third place!

As much as I detest all the fake Republican conspiracy theories, they happen to be right on this one. The rule of law either works for everybody or it doesn't exist, and this is no longer America.

Discussion?

Article is here.

What are you talking about? The rule of law died decades ago. Wake up and smell the coffee, pardner! :coffeepap:cowboy:

Yep....that Cruz sure is "surging"....LOL......surging to third place!

That's third place in a a few northeast states, son. Not the overall GOP primaries. Kasich is still very far back in the back and ensconsed in third place and has not even matched the number of delegates of at least one GOP candidate who is no longer running.

You are hilarious. I WISH the Republicans would run with Cruz. He is probably the least liked candidate in the history of the US.

You are not serious are you? If Cruz were the least liked candidate in the history of the US, he would not be in second place in the GOP primaries, in a field that started with 17.

Nobody in the Senate likes him

Really? Are you including those Senators who have endorsed him? Even some that did not endorse him like him. I shook Senator Jeff Sessions hand at a local Cruz rally. I can pretty much guarantee you that Sessions has a very positive opinion of Cruz. There is no question that the usual establishment RINOs in the senate do not like Cruz. However they do not like Trump either, or any true conservative. They just want to keep the "good ole boy" network going.

....hell, even his own family doesn't like him.

Nonsense.

The man is an idiot
.

A Harvard and Princeton graduate who has argued cases with the US Supreme Court and won is an idiot?

Hillary would destroy him...sorry....that's just the truth.

Hillary is terrified of him. She would actually have to debate him with something more then partisan political slogans. He would rip her to shreds....and even she knows that.

He would make Walter Mondale look like a strong candidate.

Sorry, son....nobody can make Mondale look like a strong candidate. He only managed to win his home state and DC. And you have just admitted that Cruz could win red state strongholds.

He wouldn't win any states outside of the GOP red-state strongholds of the deep south and the Utah/Idaho/Dakota's Midwest map. Hell...he would probably lose North Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia and Tennessee as well.

Again, pretty much the same claims were made about Ronald Reagan. And you certainly know very little about the souther states. For instance, if you think Hillary can win Tennesee against any conservative GOP candidate, I cannot help you.

I pray that the GOP is foolish enough to pick him.

Watch out what you wish for. Many libruls prayed for Reagan to get the GOP nomination over Ford or Bush in 1980. They got their wish and then regretted it for 8 years.
