Donald Trump campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson argued on Tuesday that Melania Trump was the only woman who had been attacked during the 2016 campaign — even though Trump has gone after Ted Cruz’s wife, Fox News host Megyn Kelly, GOP hopeful Carly Fiorina and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

“Following a week of sparring between the candidates about their wives, Pierson complained to CNN host Don Lemon over the network’s “narrative” that Trump had attacked Cruz’s wife.

“The fact of the matter is, there’s only been one wife attacked this cycle and that is Melania Trump,” Pierson opined. “Mr. Trump is defending his wife. There is no such thing as an attack on Heidi Cruz. I have yet to hear the attack on Heidi Cruz.”

Lemon reminded Pierson that Trump had promoted a tweet comparing an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz to a glamorous photo of Melania Trump……………….

FINALLY ……. the media is doing its job …………. Calling out for his distortions and out and out lies…….
He has had a “free ride” for all too long……………
I want to see what Chris Mathews does when he interviews him tomorrow night of msnbc…………..

It's getting to the point that the media is so "in the bag" for anyone but Trump, that I take ANYTHING they release with a grain of salt.

But Trumps tweet was in response to a Cruz add attacking Trumps wife right? what I mean is nothing was said or tweeted etc about any wife until Trumps wife was attacked.

I didn't say it was Cruz's campaign or not but it was either his campaign or a group that supported his campaign.

I've sat in the same room with him........

I've seen him demean folks for no reason at all.......

I've seen how he maintains a good self image by beating up on others.......

I've seen him blame others for his mistakes.........

I've seen him lie and/or deny he never said something right after he says it...........

He is no dam good as a person and bully as a leader........

Well we were talking about the tweets. I made the point that it did originate from the Cruz side of things. You then went off sidetracking it saying Trump is a scum bag and is known to be so by most knowledgeable NYers.
Well your in Florida. That primary is over. your not in NY and well he is far ahead in the NY polls. so your opinion... as it is an opinion that he is a scumbag... doesn't matter. You might be completely right about him. might not. doesn't matter as far as the political arena is concerned though.

Wrong on all counts. It was an ad by an anti-Trump PAC founded by Liz Mair who was once with the Scott Walker campaign. Even Corey Lewandowski came out and admitted that Cruz had nothing to do with that ad.

Yes, the ad comes from Liz Mair's anti-Trump Super-PAC of Make America Awesome.
What most folks are not aware of is that Super-PAC has the same address of Carly Fiorina’s Super-PAC (Carly for America), and she is connected to Cruz.

They clearly show the same address.

2. That is an extrapolation from what he said.

What he actually said was the following.
"The bottom line is Roger Stone is as much tied to this campaign as the super PAC that leaked that is tied to the Cruz campaign."​

A connection to the campaign or a lack thereof, is not the same as a connection to the person of the candidate.
But as we can see from the above information, a connection is there.

You apparently are unfamiliar with Independent Political Action Committees and how they work. I suggest you do a little research. And your label 'Cruz Ad' pretty clearly states that Cruz was responsible. It's the kind of crap Trump and those that support him pull all of the time.

No not wrong on all counts. Liza Mair's super pac encouraged people to vote for Cruz. so its a group that is supporting Cruz. so I was right.

There is a picture of the Ad here. On the picture of Melania it says Meet Melania Trump, your next first lady . Or.. you can suppor Ted Cruz on Tuesday.

I am assuming you are asking if a PAC is legally tied to a candidate? if the candidate endorsed what they said yes. if they didn't no.

PAC's can form themselves and support any candidate they with? Yes
They do not have to take direction from the candidate? Yes
As there are a number of types of PACS it can get confusing.

Lastly- yes separate. Spell check.

Ah thanks, I've never seen them. Melania Trump looks good in that ad. I'll bet it actually won the Donald some votes from me who stood up and took notice of her.

Liz Mair used to detest Cruz. She's one strange woman. She is very crude.
