Romney did better than Trump in the Primaries

Your illusion that Romney is beating Trump in the primary returns relies upon a fact free comparison of two radically different primary seasons.

Only difference being Trump is in this race. He's the front runner, but Romney had more people in the race at this point. There were also two different factions working against him not including the beginning attacks from the liberals. There were the Ron Paul people who thought they were winning and the Tea Party/ Santorum network, who thought they were winning up until April when he dropped out. Then Romney had the same amount of people in the race Trump has and was beating them by a huge margin. Trump is not beating anybody by a huge margin and in states where he said he would win by a lot, he is tied with Ted Cruz!!! Trump is only beating people by a huge margin in New York...

EDIT: I was shocked last a few nights ago while watching CNN that they were apologizing for Trump. That they didn't try harder to attack him like they did to Romney at this point in the race. The media loves trump because they want him to be our nominee so that Clinton can win. Trump is a loser and even he doesn't see it.

Just barely. Which based on trump's rhetoric is pretty troubling. If you have to ask that question then you haven't been reading this thread.

As of today, Trump has 769 delegates, Cruz 465, the rest are insignificant. How is that just barely?

Romney, BTW has 0

This thread is about the primary not the general election. I just gave another example of how bad a candidate Trump would be against hillary if he would win. You even seem to ignore that too. WOW

I responded to your post and it's contents. I even quoted the post you made, twice now. I responded to both your busted argument about the primary and your busted argument about the general. Didn't ignore anything. You just don't like the answer.

No you are ignoring practically everything this thread is about and are just focusing in on one statement. While trying to make the thread about it. Though you have yet to disprove the statement. Do you think Trump is a better candidate than Romney even though it shows Romney beating him delegate count, popular vote, and Obama is not creaming him in double digits at this point in the race?

You have not given me any evidence to back up your claim that Trump is doing better than Romney at this point in both races. My guess is you can't find any.

Really? REALLY?

Did you base that on the fact that he cheated on two separate wives before he got to his third?

Did you base it on the fact that he publicly bragged about getting committed women to cheat on their significant others with him?

Did you base it on the fact that he implied a tough question from a female was because she was on her period?

Did you base it on the fact that he implied mexican immigrants are rapists and drug dealers?

Did you base it on the fact that he said that people shouldn't vote for a female candidate because of her face?

Did you base it on the fact that he attacked a fellow candidate, falsely and numerous occasions, and then threatened to attack that candidate's wife and, in fact, did so by posting an unflattering picture of her?
Yeah. I based it on all that. Still more decent human being than Ted Cruz or Hillary Clinton.

Heck I think trump may actually lose the nomination battle to Cruz because Cruz is actually paying attention to the unpleadged delegates, which trump is ignoring because he has no political organization.

This is a good point. I participated in the election in 2012 and the Ron Paul supporters, were minor but took over entire conventions. Trump does not have those people and he certainly doesn't have any sort of organization. If anything is going to be Trump's downfall, its going to be at the state caucus conventions when National delegates are selected.

I think the Ron Paul people generally like Trump, they just get lost in a sea of other angry faces so their support is negligible.

Romney had class and brains. Trump has neither. I proudly voted for Romney. I would never lower myself to vote for Trump. I know I'm not alone. That's why Romney did better than Trump in the primaries.

I believe that Trump's loss percentage will be much larger than Romney's was. This ain't even gonna be close. (That is, if the GOP can't find a way to sweep this embarrassment of a candidate under the rug and he actually get's the nod. I kinda doubt that's gonna happen. The GOP will find a way to make this go away.)
