If God exists and He gave us Washingon and the other Founders, and He gave us Lincoln, and now He is giving us Trump, does it mean He has decided we blew it?

So god is an American! I knew there had to be a reason why you Yanks can never stop talking about him. Or her.

Well, we will have to see. Many said Lincoln, one time Rep, had no experience and well, he did have us fight a war between us that killed over 600,000, maimed and wounded many more out a total population of about 34 Million... thats an astounding amount of destruction and misery and the amount of damage to the South, and thus the entire nation sustained, was incredible.

Under Washington we were left with the legacy of Washington, DC, the rat hole into which we pour trillions of dollars in taxes now, though I am sure he would have been against that.

So who knows. I mean we have managed to survive through almost 8 years of Obama. If we can do that, we can handle most anything, knock on wood. Maybe god will surprise us.

This very well might be the worst question asked about God and the US in the history of the forums. You might as well be asking if God took a nap, and during his rest we accidentally ended up with Trump.

Of course God is American... he is a can do kinda god, Ameri-can do kinda god, hard worker and all around good guy, or gal.

By the way, always wanted to know what Gvooshka Gvorten goota meant in Swedish. Ok, ok gotta admit I just made that up. but it sure sounds right to me...ha ha ha. Cheers.

god didn't give you Washington, or Lincoln or any other of your other Founders and he is not offering you Trump, because he couldn't care less and starving babies are proof of that

but yeah if he gets in, you blew it somewhere along the line....but no worries, nothing stays the same change is inevitable and good times will come again and for some that will be while Trump is in office...others will move and still others will stay and endure and not much will really change on a daily basis as long as you remain a free country

Governor Winthrop, if anything. If "we" succeed, we will be a city on a hill, but if we fail, God will punish us more than other civilizations in order to be an example to them regarding sin and the sins we committed.

I'm not sure electing Trump would make God think we've blown it.

But, it would me think so.

Oh, and Trump is no gift from god.
