Trump's VP to be political insider?

Donald Trump on VP: We need a political insider - CNNPolitics.com

It seems in choosing a VP Trump wants an experienced politician rather than an outsider like himself. That actually seems rational to me. The question is: who fits that description that would want to be Trump's #2?

CRUZ....for VP

Carson for Surgeon General

Sheriff Joe Arpio for head of the Border Patrol

Kaisick (sp) for Commerce Secretary

Arnold Schwarzenegger for Sec of Defense

Hillary Clinton for CIA Director...she knows more dirty tricks and how to make excuses for getting caught than anyone on the planet.

Bernie Sanders for HUD secretary

R. Lee Ermey for VA Director with the power to fire anyone on the spot...(get outta here, maggot !!!)

The western time zone likes Ted. He'll get Utah for sure. Trump was favored in Idaho and got creamed.

Cruz is closer, about -4 at best, here in Illinois. Trump yard signs have smear quotes on them. It remains to be seen how the trump Chicago riots play out in both parties.

Missouri's another close one TrusTED needs with WTM. With Rubio flatlining, I'm trying to see if these WTA are for the whole state or just the CDs. We're also "loophole" here in IL, a GOP invention .

Not worth a damn. :2razz:

Oh, and I thought of you yesterday. I got an email forwarded to me from Lundgren (our state rep) and he did talked to as many delegates in the state as he could find and asked them if they did an informal straw poll for the candidate they would vote for. The vast majority voted for Cruz. Trump isn't real popular here. Thought you might find that interesting.

If you want an insider with some credentials, I have an unusual choice, Jim DeMint. No geographical help, I don't think but he was establishment knows Washington from the inside and the outside and is a solid conservative. I don't think even Cruz could argue the choice. No downside, but no upside either.

He should pick Cruz.
At this current second I'm thinking Cruz now. May be Oprah tomorrow. Cruz would basically unite the grassroot conservitism, and adds the best groundgame. I think the thought may be that if you get the 5 million or so grassroot conservatives who sat out 2012 because they didn't like an establishment candidate like Romney with the blue collar democrats going for Trump, it will be a winning coaltion. My hope Kasich wins a convention fight.

With "little Marco" out of the race I expect the fights between Cruz and Trump to get even more vitriol.

Cruz and Trump are like a divorced couple. It will likely get worse before better.
