The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that a team of establishment Republicans is hatching plans for a "guerrilla" offensive against Trump before the business mogul gains more steam at the Iowa caucus scheduled for February 1………..


…………. the group is "loosely organized and highly confidential" in an effort to attract high-rolling donors "who are very happy that their fingerprints will be kept off things.”……….

Yet this attempt is just the latest to attempt to upset Trump's lead. Maybe folks are feeling guilty for the many years they have disparaged NY and called NY’ers loud and bossy……………..so paying so to speak they are backing Trump……….

Trust me folks bin g a former NY’er and knowing the real Donald………………He ain’t worth it………..as a matter of fact….if nominated…..he will lose NY because we know who he is…..

Aside from the source.. I do believe that certain establishment republicans would want to destroy Trump. For the pure and simple fact that he probably has not conceded to any of their demands. Whatever those demands may be, beltway stuff like favors, support, money etc..
 
Too late now anyway. He's already damaged they're chances with the minority vote beyond repair.

I'm sure they're desperate, hence all these establishment conspiracy theory's. I thought they were going to bring in Mitt to take him out?

Actually, he did post the Wall Street Journal article in his post too. The article is behind a paywall, but it buttresses the other link the OP made. It does look like the GOP is going to attempt to take Trump out.

Considering this is a race for a most coveted position it would stand to reason that the establishment republicans would want to take out a non establishment wild card like trump.
I don't see where it would be a secret.

Funny how everyone complained that Obama "bought" his last election by throwing tons of cash into it. Now the hypocrite GOP is doing the same thing. Trump saw how effective Obama's "rock star" campaign was, and he's just cranking it up a notch.

There's a reason Trump has been leading the polls all year. He says things the majority of folks (paying attention) want to hear. Maybe if the other Republican candidates would back off the religious rhetoric...maybe back off the damn abortion issue...maybe even quit talking about a freakin' wall...perhaps they'd even win over some liberals.
