And she won't be until she can use her government position to impose her beliefs on the public like the true theocrat that she is.

Kim Davis’ lawyers file new appeal over same-sex marriage license order | KFOR.com

KENTUCKY — Lawyers for Kim Davis — the Kentucky county clerk who spent six days in jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — have filed an appeal to the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals asking to reverse rulings they claimed trampled her religious rights.
The new appeal seeks to reverse four rulings by U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning, decisions that Davis’ attorneys called “a rush to judgment that promoted expediency over due process.”

Specifically, Davis’ legal team wants the appeals court to overturn Bunning’s original injunction that she issue same-sex marriage licenses and his order holding her in contempt of court for refusing to do so.

There is a place she can go:

Of course, because we needed Kim Davis to make matters much worse.

Maybe the book deal fell through, and she is trying to stretch her 5 minutes of fame into 10.

Kim and the other protestors have been shown the door by the District and Supreme Courts. That won't change.

While I think she should do her job and not force her beliefs on others, there should have been a way to work this out with the state of Kentucky but Democratic governor Steve Beshear refused to do anything to resolve this dispute by working out a fair solution for all sides. That's one reason why the Democrats were just voted out of the mansion. People think that Kim Davis is pigheaded and uncompromising but the very same can be said for Kentucky Democrats who did the very same thing to her.

She got what she wanted and she is still going. I am sorry, but that is BS. She will not be happy until she can deny same-sex couples a marriage license. There is no compromise or accommodation she is willing to accept aside from imposing her beliefs.

She got her compromise. She isn't doing the work herself, but is not preventing her staff from doing what is legally obligated of them. She shouldn't have even been granted that much leeway.

Yes, whereas the "experts" were predicting that Bevin's support for Davis would help cement a win for his Democratic opponent...

...voters decided to go a different way:
In an upset victory by a surprisingly large margin, Bevin bested Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway, a Democrat, in the contest.

Bevin, a Republican often at odds with more mainstream elements of his party, solidly beat Conway 53%-44% in a race that Bevin was not expected to win by any significant margin.

A place for authoritarianism AND killing others without just cause?

You oughta get yourself a plane ticket, dude.

She occupies an official office (position) meaning that it his her duty to fulfil the responsibilities of that office. If she cannot, regardless of the reason and especially if it is a closely held religious objection, then she should vacate the office and allow someone else to fulfil those duties.

What seems to be ignored or forgotten by many, is that the duties of a County Clerk are not personal but official, government duties. There is a separation of person from the official, belief from the duty, individual right from the government responsibility to implement and follow the law. This is not her job, as if it would be if she was a manager at McDonalds or even if she owned her own company. She is fulfilling a role, and just happens to get paid to do so. There are many government positions that do not pay much or anything at all. She is fulfilling role established by law, not by her personal feelings or beliefs or religion. If she cannot follow the law and cannot fulfil the role, she must move aside. To not do so, is Malfeasance, Breach of Duty and possibly even Criminal Negligence depending on the level and magnitude of Harm.

Stay in the limelight until she can be the darling of CPAC.
