Barack Obama as Supreme Court Justice?

It doesn't seem like Rubio is running again in 2016 from what I've been reading and hearing.
FOX is pushing him hard for POTUS based on foreign policy--but Kerry made him look silly at his hearing.

The GOP Senate had a dreadful week with the Cotton letter no matter how much the FOX spinners yell at their DEM guests.
For 2016's elections, Murkowski and Coats didn't sign the letter--wonder why huh.
Portman, Paul, McCain, and Johnson are already trying to walk back their signings--they're up in 2016.
I expect my Sen. Kirk to follow suit quickly--he's up for reelection.



Actually Burr is up for reelection in NC and he'll be tough to beat, as NC is moving right with the help of early and often Koch money that beat Hagan.
Kasich on the ticket as VP will lock up Ohio for the GOP as he won in 2014 by a landslide.
Don't underestimate my Illinois--there's little love for Hillary out here and we just elected a GOP as governor.
Pennsylvania is another swing state IMHO and Toomey is in deep trouble, in spite of Toomey/Manchin, a political ploy.

I expected McConnell to do a better job with his caucus and Boehner's--as he wants to stay Speaker in the worst way.
There are so many huge issues coming up--one for me is the Transportation Trust fund going broke in May.

But all eyes will be focused next Tuesday night on the Israeli elections .

I stand correct about Burr. The 2014 midterms saw the lowest voter turnout since like the 1940's. 2016 will be a totally different ball game, with something closing in on twice the 2014 turn out nationally.

A whole lot of words have multiple meanings. I've told you what meaning I intended when I used the word. Why are you trying to apply some other meaning to my statement?

My firs vote was in 1972--against Nixon but for our GOP governor who lost to a future jailbird--not related to his time as governor--we're known for that in IL.
Gov. Ogilvie was a RINO even back then--I also voted for GOP Sen. Percy--he was a thorn in Nixon's side on the war.
1967-1968 was a growing up year for me as a HS freshman--the Tet offensive--RFK and MLK assassinations,
DEM Convention Chicago riots--Wallace 3rd party; race riots throughout 1968;

They fight 24/7 and have plenty of billionaires and money.
The key is that they've used their resources far better than DEMs since 2010, even with Obama winning.

Maddow had the GOP architect of the 2010 Blue/Purple state conversion to Red--Brilliant--beginning with taking over the State Legislatures and Governorships.
It's why you see egregious congressional district Gerry-Mandering in states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina, just to name two.

Gerrymandering is a non-issue in Presidential and Senate races. Having urban blue areas turn out in huge numbers will be. 2012 had something like 67% turn out and 2014 had something like 36% turn out.

Even with 2020 being a POTUS year, turning the state legislatures and governorships who do the remaps between now and then is the key.
So that the remaps are reflected with a new House in 2022.

DNC chief in 2010 Sen. Kaine and the rest of DEM leadership did a miserable job in that census election remap, leaving us with Boehner's dysfunctional caucus.
Assuming you're young, and with the odds that 2030 will suck again as a mid-term census remap, you won't catch up to them again until 2042.

I'm not a democrat. I think both parties suck. I will never catch up to "them" because "they" are equally miserable parties. They just are miserable in different ways.

Keep a eye on how Israel forms its next government--since neither of the two major parties will come close to a majority of seats in the Knesset.
This is why you saw Bibi allow 430 more housing units a few days before the election.
Bibi can end up in 2nd place and still form a coalition government with far-right fringe parties, as he's done in the past.

We already have a GOP that is splintered like that and the leaders can't control their members--no thank you to any more of that .

btw, not that I really want to talk about them, but "health" and "healthcare" are two different things. You should, perhaps, keep that in mind whenever you talk about them.

What Bill O supports is of little consequence to me, he is simply another talking head, telling his version of the truth (using the term loosely) just as the talking heads on MSNBC etc do every day.

You are right that Pres Obama would have a great difficult getting a liberal justice approved at this point

Not much time--heading for Springfield for a fresh-soph State wrestling tournament--you probably know how big wrestling is in your state--my wife and I will be at Nationals starting next Thursday.

My concerns are about the issues--I still hold out hope that McConnell and Paul Ryan can right the GOP ship.

It's too bad we've reached such a point where politics is preventing agreements on the simplest of issues, such as the Transportation trust fund going broke in May.
