Good Morning America.....ABC TV is now putting this out there?

Apparently only Girl Scouts can get President Obama to break one of his cardinal rules. Souza wrote that the girls convinced President Obama to wear the tiara for the group photo, something members of the Navy football team were unable to do in April with different headdress.

“Here’s the general rule: You don’t put stuff on your head if you’re president,” Obama said at the time. “That’s politics 101. You never look good wearing something on your head.".....snip~

Why I think it makes him look even better.

BTW, the little girl in the front's robot brain is showing from under her tiara.

This is seriously considered news? This is seriously considered a "issue"?

Makes me wonder if the Mouseketeers would have any luck.

As a light-hearted joke because it was cute.

So why headline it that BO broke a Cardinal Presidential Rule.....they could have went with President gets Cute with Girls Scouts. This is ABC TV we are talking about.....not Fox News.

Right  .....that's why they are reporting about how he wouldn't do the same thing with the Navy and their Headdress. That don't help make the story Cute.

Good afternoon MMC - Happy New Year to you - all the best.

Obama in a crown, hmmmmmm......... Now that's surprising.

BTW - where's the diversity in this shot - white President (half, anyway) and lily white girl guides - shame!!!

Heya CJ :2wave: Same to you.

I would have expected this from some Right Leaning source.....not from ABC TV and not headlining it as such. Especially if they were just trying to show that BO can be Cute. Or were looking for that Feel Good story to help BO with his ratings.

Moreover they waited to release this. For what?????

I'll be serious about this for a moment. This President doesn't do anything that isn't necessary for his own political gain. This year, both Obamas have been doing light and fluffy stuff to slowly get his numbers up. Right now it's hovering around...50% That way, when big liberal issues break out like Cuba, everyone seems to be back on the 2008 bandwagon. HOPE AND CHANGE. That was the sum of the Cuba issue, even as Obama screwed up with his message on SONY. They (meaning the everyday public) are brainwashed by fluffyness and rainbows and peace and love. Don't ya know. So when the President does stuff like this or goes on local radio stations or Youtube shows or various other channels that no other world leader has ever heard about... When he tries to act like one of us. The low info voters eat it up!!! And I am not just talking about liberals here.

The people who are complaining that this isn't news, still felt so strongly about this that they felt the need to comment on it. Without realizing that people report on this type of stuff all the time. In fact, I'd go so far to say that many many more people are into who wore what and such much more than gritty everyday politics. YES people are much more interested in Scouting, or if this even belongs in the "Fashion" section. So Be It. I am not a news editor. So I have no idea where I would categorize it. Yet, people complain that you posted this. Just because they don't consider it news...

I guess what I am trying to say here is that it is huge news in some circles mainly Fashion people, Princess moms, and Girl Scouts. It is not a huge political issue. Yet at the same time, it is ONLY a political/campaign issue and I'm sure a calculated maneuver from the President's team.

I wonder if he tried on different tiaras for the photo-op?

You called it Right MGOP.....this was done for a political reason. As when the pic was taken, and why it was released on Christmas Eve. Note the date.

Chief White House photographer Pete Souza posted a photo to Instagram today showing the president donning a tiara alongside a group of Girl Scouts from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The photo, from the annual White House Science Fair, was taken in May.....snip~

Busted out by ABC TV.
