Obama makes rare campaign trail appearance, people leave early

Yeah. Everyone is turning on our President, even from his own party. I wasn't on political message boards when Bush was POTUS, was the hate and disrespect for him as palpable as it is for Obama?

Only from liberals/progressives/Democrats.

Has it always been this bad though? I knew Bush got ****, but Obama is on a different plane of receiving criticism. The office of the Presidency is seemingly disrespected on a daily basis nowadays.

From what GOPs and Libertarians tell me, they were also part of this hate and disrespect on Bush.
But you can't possibly say they are close to equal on DP--given yer join date .

So you think Obama's doing nothing when pigeon-holed in the White House?

You've obviously been MIA with everything he's been doing since yer GOP House went on vacation July 31st, save seven days.

Putting a clamp on their loose Akin/Mourdock cannons like King, Bachmann, Gohmert and oh so many more .
I don't blame you at all for not wanting Obama to lead our nation. I don't either.

:) Awww. Poor Democrats.

You do realize Bush served two terms, and thus was President during two midterm elections -- 2002 and 2006, correct? Just like the midterm elections under Obama were 2010 and this year's.

I clearly was talking about 2002 and you know it.

How am I supposed to know that? You said "midterms"; Bush had two, and the 2002 midterms were in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, when your sainted Republican party painted all dissent as tantamount to treason.

NIMBY, Jango didn't specify DP in his post. He specified "political message boards". DP isn't my first rodeo, so to speak, so my join date is irrelevant.

Jango, DP may have been different, back then, than other political forums...but I don't know for sure without doing a search. I'll leave that to you, but I really don't think you'll find that Bush was disrepected less than Obama. More likely the other way around, in my opinion.

Its the stuff he's been doing these last 3 months...heck, for the last 6 years...that makes me thankful that he spends so much time away from the White House.

Its your habitual, irrelevant stuff like this that ruins what really could be considered a good post from you. Such a shame...

Mornin Jango. :2wave: It was worse.....one minute they would say he was a dumb**** and then the next an evil genius that was plotting to dominate the world.

The Democrats are in desperation mode and both BO and Clinton are out trying to get up some money. Both have dropped in here to help Quinn out. As Rauner was Endorsed by Chicago Tribune, Sun Times and another paper.

Clinton is suppose to then drop in Georgia to try and help Nunn out. Then Bilbo will be heading out to Colorado as the Senate Democrat Udall is in trouble.
