Ouch! A brutal and scathing OP/Ed from the Post... my how times have changed from 2008. The harsh title I thought would garner some discussion in this forum....

Chalk it up to karma, fate or bad luck. Whatever you call it, the Ebola scare is proof that Bad Things Happen to Bad Presidents.
The morphing of what is a single case into near panic is, according to medical experts, unwarranted. They point out that, so far, one person from Liberia died in a Texas hospital and two nurses who treated him got sick. Period, end of panic. In rational and medical terms, they may be right. But their calculations omit another factor. It’s the X factor. In this case, X stands for trust.

President Obama has spent six years squandering it, and the administration’s confusion, contradictions and mistakes on Ebola fit the pattern. This is how he rolls.
Don’t worry, there’s no chance of an outbreak, they said. Then it was, Oops, we must rethink all procedures for handling cases. Then there was no worry about a “wide” outbreak, yet quarantines for lots of people. The irrational fear of an alien pathogen is fueled by rational suspicion of an incompetent and dishonest government. How did the so-called experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention give Nurse No. 2 permission to travel by air, even though she had a mild fever?

That’s a great question — if only the CDC would answer it. “I have not seen the transcript of the conversation,” was Director Thomas Frieden’s lame answer.
Meanwhile, the most obvious move, a travel ban from affected countries, is rejected with unpersuasive claims about the need to get aid workers to Africa. It looks and smells like political correctness searching for logic. There isn’t any logic, so bet your hazmat suit a ban will happen soon. It’ll be one way for the new Ebola czar to make a mark.

But it will take a miracle worker to restore Barack Obama’s credibility. While there are many things to say about his tenure, the one thing you cannot say is that the nation trusts him.

A toxic president | New York Post

My best guess is Obama's given up - doesn't really care about much that is going on and has checked out of most issues.

Inept, incompetent, and worst of all hateful.

Rupert Murdoch's rag, its not worth opening.

The upcoming election may demonstrate how "toxic" the President is. But in my opinion, he has squandered the public's trust since the day he took office. He continues to zig when he should zag, to direct his Presidential attention to the trivial such as "Beergate" while appointing people who are, for one reason or another, entirely unsuitable for a job such as Van Jones and Ron Klain.

I was referring to the chosen dictator you are in such awe of and will defend no matter what he does and not the newspaper.

That's a good description of Rupert Murdoch's rag, The New York Post. Thanks.

It's not the President that's toxic but the reaction his election has provoked in certain quarters.

exactly

Toxic is how you describe the “born in kenya” lies from the right
Toxic is how you describe the “secret muslim” lies from the right
Toxic is how you describe the “wants to kill old people” lies the right
Toxic is how you describe the non stop lies about Obamacare from the right
Toxic is how you describe the “benghazi” lies from the right
Toxic is how you describe the non stop obstruction on Obama’s policies from the right
Toxic is how you describe the attempts to default on the debt from the right
Toxic is how you describe the right’s reaction to anything the President does.

I often defend obama for being wrong on some things like his $2500 health care savings. It was a mistake not a lie. I do the same on unemployment and overspending all of which are contrary to his promises and prior statements but I'm sure if he could remedy them he would and is deserving of being called "wrong" just not a liar, but in the case of Benghazi your beloved loser human lied through his teeth. He stood before the UN some 12-15 days later and still blamed a video for the death of 4 Americans and how you can defend that is beyond me. He is a bald face LIAR on that topic and you know it.

Just say race card. Be honest. Any time his failure is pointed out, the fall back is race. Its getting old and weak. Race has nothing to do with ANY of his failures.

Thnk you for providing an example of the toxic reaction...

*Yawn*

Some pundit badmouthing the president looks to a history of like minded pundits badmouthing the president as justification that the president is worth badmouthing by pundits.

That is not true, nor is it an explanation.

So you don't see anything unusual about the constant questioning of Obama "legitimacy" from the day he took office? Which other President has had to release his birth certificate?
Which President had hecklers during his State of the Union? It is amazing to me that all those things and more are invisible to you. It's like you think he deserves it. Which of course leads to the question....why?

Bush has his military service questioned, his IQ questioned, dirt on his wife brought up, blamed for 9/11, blamed for the response to 9/11, still being blamed for every problem the US has.
And you are mad because Obama's home of origin has been questioned.

Who since Hillary questioned his legitimacy with any significance? Tell me one vote on national policy by the House did his "legitimacy" come into question. You are a joke using that claim as much as the very limited and irrelevant few that make it.
