"History Will Only Remember You Were a Black President"

Bush left office 6 years ago. Six months ago, the great Obama proclaimed ISIS to be an unimportant JV team.
You cant give Obama credit for everything that goes right and blame someone else for everything that goers wrong
and retain any credibility. Murderous, radical islamists who want to create a murderous, radical islamist state predate Bush and will be around long after Obama is gone.

What went right when G.W. Bush was in the White House?

His time in office was one disaster after another.

Bush will be remembered as one of the worst U.S. presidents ever.

He's right. Obama will always wear the label of the first black President. Lots of Presidents were the "first" of something. Probably all of them, anyway. I doubt hundreds of years from now Obama will be remembered for much more than the color of his skin.

I've given plenty of reasons in this thread to prove Moore wrong.
Yer better than this and I'm disappointed people will go to these lengths to win an election.
I know I've seen nothing yet with 55 days to go.
This behavior toward BHO will also be what he's remembered for .

How quickly they forget such times when Democrats helped Bush when Medicare Part D did a nosedive when first put out.
But those were the good old days when we still supported our President.
Let's see how that works out for us after Obama's speech tonight .

I'd like to think that Obama will be remember as the man who saved America from 8 more years of Bill and Hillary - that's got to be considered a big accomplishment.

Lefty Libbos are to be quoted when you agree with them and dismissed when you don't--cons used to call Moore a burn-out. :lamo

At least your current President did accomplish his mission with the guy Bush said he didn't worry about--bin Laden.

And that's just for starters--this should be a fun thread for me--thanks again . :peace

Good morning NIMBY,

I still call Michael Moore a giant ass boil on the butt of society - a totally phoney piece of **** who's made a fortune claiming to be on the side of the little man yet has multiple million dollar homes and jet sets around speaking ill of the rich and 1 percenters he's a card carrying member of. He's like the equally despicable Al Gore who's made a fortune selling the green energy scam while his carbon footprint is the size of a Mastodon's.

Just because Moore's right about Obama doesn't mean he's either respected or liked by those who see through him.

I had to like this even though your last sentence was wrong of course.
Touche' on bashing the Clintons, Gore, Moore and Obama in your last two posts. :lamo

I'll be interested to hear yer posts on Obama's speech tonight--tomorrow early AM after a good night's sleep donchaknow .

Okay, you disagree with Moore. I don't, and I don't see anything wrong with what he said. It's my opinion and nothing else. Not sure what any of this has to do with the upcoming elections, by the way. Is Obama running for something that I'm not aware of?

I never listen to Obama speak - he nauseates me.

Glad you mentioned it.
Obama and Reid, not running for anything, are at the top of the ticket in every Republican ad, as you see with candidate Brown.

So yes Obama is running for something according to the GOPs you support--as they try to take away the Senate from him.
And then threaten to shut down the government, as McConnell has been captured on tape saying.
Hope that helps .

Well according to the thread title, put an OPAQUE towel over your TV screen and listen to his words.
Works for me when listening to GOP morons like Krauthammer, as well as GOP Presidential debates.

I always want to know what both sides of the aisle say and think.
As one who grew up on AM radio in the 60's, my ears can detect those kinds of nuances .

Ah, so, nobody running for office is supposed to mention another politician in their ads? Interesting. Where were you in 2008 when every ad here in NH for a Democratic candidate had "BUSH! BUSH! BUSH!" screaming throughout them? You could have given them the same sage advice you have for the GOP today.

Got argumentative today?
Which is it tres, are Obama and Reid running according to your GOP ads or not running according to your partisan script ?

Sorry - I suffered Obama overload long before many others - whenever the man makes an appearance on TV or his voice comes on the radio I immediately change the channel. I have a similar reaction to Bill and Hillary, Michael Moore, and Al Gore, to keep the theme of my responses this thread going.

Try focusing on Present Moment Awareness and the problems that face our Nation today.
I didn't notice any DEM meatheads trashing and preempting their President's speech when he first took us into that disastrous war.
Yet that's all I see from your GOP when I tune in to Bret Baier, though he's a good guy .

I'm sorry Vern, could you come up with another source ? You see I have a chip on my shoulder.

As soon as I read the cover page and at the bottom I saw that the chairman was John F. Kerry. You know the guy, the self proclaimed war hero who after only serving 3 months of his 13 month tour of duty abandoned his ship mates in Vietnam. Then as soon as he finished his active duty obligations as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves he became one of the leaders of the "Vietnam Veterans Against the War" (VVAW) and while the American soldier was still on the battlefields of Vietnam he back stabbed them.

BTW:
Are you one of those people who thought that the war against Al Qaeda was all about Osama bin Laden ? That as soon as Bin Laden was dead that Al Qaeda would be on the run while being decimated ? :lamo

According to most foreign intelligence agencies, Bin Laden was forced into early retirement in 2003. He was to hot, his assests had been seized that Bin Laden had become a nobody with in Al Qaeda.

That the real mastermind of the Al Qaeda attacks on American soil on 9-11-01 was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. It was Khalid Mohammed who oversaw the training of the 9-11 terrorist, who was in charge of the command and control of the 9-11 terrorist and over saw the operations of the 9-11 attacks. He was captured in 2003 around the time Bin Laden was forced into retirement. Who was POTUS back then ?

You remember Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, he was that guy who looked like a famous porn star who some got their panties all wadded in a bunch because he was water boarded by the CIA. He was the one who gave up the information during the Bush administration that led to Osama bin Laden's courier that led the CIA to Bin Laden's crib.

Got argumentative today?
Which is it tres, are Obama and Reid running according to your GOP ads or not running according to your partisan script ?

Are Obama and Reid part of the mid-term election discussion? Have they each opined on the issue? Have they each been campaigning for those running (well, to be fair, most Democrats run as far as they can away from Obama )?

Bush doesn't campaign - Obama does - it's actually pretty much all he does. He'll probably be firing up those big, beautiful, black Canadian campaign buses he ordered a few years back for some campaign road trips.

PMA?

I thought this thread was about Michael Moore saying Obama will only be remembered for being the first black President. How did this involve Bush and Bret Baier?

Can we talk about the subject or not, Nimby? My head hurts and you're all over the place, and way off topic.

er uh Arat, your delusions about Kerry dont magically make the Senate report a lie. I know in con world it works that way but not in the real world. and here's the best part, nobody disputes the facts in the report. Not even the disgusting lying excuse given by Rumsfeld for letting OBL walk to Pakistan. And btw, notice how I make a point, I back it up.

Did the report mention that it was a liberal PC military JAG lawyer who intervened when we had Bin Laden in our sights in Tora Bora ?

As for Rumsfeld, I'm one of the first to go on the internet back in March of 2001 warning everyone that Rumsfeld is another McNamara.

And I seem to be a minority who's saying we need to revisit the National Security Act of 1947 because it seems not to be working. That civilians shouldn't be micromanaging the military once the politicians failed and have to turn to the military. That civilians like LBJ, Obama, McNamara, Rumsfeld who are not generals but who dictates what the strategy and tactics that should be used on the battlefield.

Michael Moore is a populist blowhard. Of course the President or his supporters would come crashing to reality quickly. That's the nature of politics and governing a nation. Only a small fraction of campaign promises can be fulfilled, and an even smaller number of them can work properly.

Did the report mention that it was a liberal PC military JAG lawyer who intervened when we had Bin Laden in our sights in Tora Bora ?

Look, more magical conservative delusion that conveniently absolves Bush of all responsibility. Please feel free to back up your latest (and hilarious) explanation. Pardon me if I ignore the rest of your deflecting and pointless post.

It was G.W. Bush's policies that led to finding Bin Laden.
]
Yup. And it was also his policies that lead to his huge budget deficits, and the Great Bush Recession.

Michael Moore Slams Obama: HIstory Will Only Remember You Were a Black President

>" Michael Moore sees President Obama's legacy as set. The progressive documentary filmmaker couldn't help but express his disappointment with the legislative accomplishments of the politician.

"When the history is written of this era, this is how you'll be remembered: he was the first black president," Moore said during a discussion at The Hollywood Reporter's video lounge at the Toronto Film Festival.

"OK, not a bad accomplishment, but that's it," the director said. "That's it, Mr. Obama. 100 years from now, 'he was the first black American that got elected president' and that's it. Eight years of your life and that's what people are going to remember. Boy, I got a feeling, knowing you, that -- you'd probably wish you were remembered for a few other things, a few other things you could've done."

"So, it is, on that level, a big disappointment," Moore said..."<

You can go to the link but there isn't much more to read just like there will not be much to read in the history books about the worst President in history.

Yes, if the Rabid Right has its way, Obama won't be remembered for pulling us out of the Great Recession, for getting bin Laden, for getting us out of two wars (one of which was illegal and unprovoked, for ending Don't-ask-don't-tell, for getting us real health care reform, for passing Wall Street reform, for saving the auto industry (Chrysler's had 53 straight months of year-over-year of sales increases), toppled Qaddaffi, ended Bush's torture program, got the banks out of student lending (saving students literally billions of dollars), passed credit card reform, ended the 180-day statute of limitations on pay equality for women, and a whole lot more.
