God....how I LOVE these Navy Pride threads. They always remind me of how there is at least 10% of the country out there that are so completely dependent on FauxNews and right-wing radio for their information. Funny....but kinda sad at the same time.

Ah yes my proud nautical friend, posters have completely discredited you false outrage over vacations, so it's time to change the subject.

We already know that the right-wing holds Obama to a different standard than any other president. What they call "lies" are anytime Mr. Obama said something one year and ended up not being so because the facts change. The same Obama critics were silent when Bush said things as "Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires-a wiretap requires a court order," while approving wiretaps without court order.

The "scandals" you speak of turned out to be non-scandals. They were all discredited.

Back to the thread topic. As I said, the right-wing holds Obama to a different standard than any other president and nothing is a better example than how they view Obama vacations. All presidents go on vacation and when they do, they are still acting as president and have the ability to do anything they could have done from the White House. The right-wing knows this, as they vehemently defended Bush taking more vacations than any other president in history. Yet, it seems that, according to the right-wing, Obama is never entitled to a vacation. When he vacations in Hawaii, they complain about how much the jet fuel costs. Now, he's vacationing in Martha's Vineyard, only a few hundred miles from Washington D.C., so they have to invent different reasons to justify their false outrage.
