I think we all know how the media and how Hollywood characterize corruption, incompetence and misdeeds when the republicans are responsible for those misdeeds. They waste absolutely no time whatsoever in directly blaming the republican(s) who were responsible, and they also attempt to stereotype republicans in general by making comments that lump the "average" republican in with the actions of the guilty politician. Negative stereotyping is a common strategy for the left's elite, as well as media, Hollywood producers, actors, professors etc.
But just watch them when they mention the bad acts of democrats, especially the really bad historical acts of the democratic party. I was just watching a typical democrat give propaganda in support of amnesty for the illegals currently crossing the borders, when he had the audacity to compare the average illegal immigrant's plight to the plight of Jews in the holocaust! But its what he said that brings us back on topic here.. He said "remember back in 1938 when 'America' refused the entry of a large ship filled with Jews escaping Nazi Germany(the St Louis), these people are suffering similarly".
Therein lies the lie! America is not really a democracy. That means, we dont vote on every last decision and every last policy. We are a republic, and that means we elect leaders who we hope will support the policies that we think are best for the country. Well, when that ship showed up on the east coast of America desperately asking for our help, they were denied that help, and they were turned away! Then they tried other countries, but were turned away there too. That forced them back to Europe, where many were eventually thrown into concentration camps and killed! Any time you hear this talked about, which is rare, you will hear the left put the blame for this on "America". The truth is that the American citizens didnt make the call, it was made by Franklin Roosevelt and the state dept!
There was limitation to the number of immigrants allowed into the US during that time due to the great depression and a lack of jobs(like we need now), and people were against more immigration because 30%+ had lost their jobs, but that didnt excuse FDR from not allowing 900 Jews to stay for a while! IN fact, it was actions like this that were used by the Nazis to justify oppressing the Jews, by using these international actions to show how unpopular Jews were........
When you hear about the hundreds of thousands of Japanese citizens put into essentially concentration camps here in America after the Pearl Harbor attacks, the liberals in the media, school teachers, etc almost always blame "America" for that bigoted crime as well. But once again, it wasnt Americans who made that decision! They werent even aware of the decision til after it was made. Those Japanese were unconstitutionally and unjustifiably jailed by none other than FDR. He and his administration made that decision, not us Americans!
When they talk about the atomic bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they once again blame "America" for dropping them. But once again, the American people had absolutely no knowledge of the existence of atomic bombs, and they certainly didnt order them to be dropped! That decision was made by democrat Harry Truman. There is even evidence that people around him knew that the Japanese would fully surrender if we just allowed their emperor to remain in power as a figurehead at least, but we denied that offer, even though thats exactly what we allowed after the bombs were dropped! But again, when liberals talk about that, you dont hear them blame Truman, they blame America!
What about the 100 years of denied civil rights for African Americans after the Civil war? Once again, they do everything in their power NOT to admit that it was the democratic party that prevented and denied civil rights for blacks for a century after the civil war, and they dont talk about the fact that democrats like Robert Byrd actually filibustered that attempt to grant civil rights! They certainly dont tell us that more republicans voted in favor of civil rights, even though there were more democrats in the legislature!
Nope, those atrocities are all our fault, the American people according to 'them', it wasnt the fault of the democrats! No No....
Lastly, how often do you hear liberals in the media or elsewhere blame all of America for the misdeeds of republicans instead of directly blaming the republicans? This is a typical calculated strategy used by the left to revise the historical record in order to promote democrats as the party that cares, by removing blame from the democrats that may 'tarnish' their reputation and partially disprove the propaganda claims that they are the party that always champions the little guy.....
